GOV NAMADI: PREVENTING MALNUTRITION IS CRITICAL TO BUILDING A HEALTHY AND PRODUCTIVE POPULATION

Governor Malam Umar Namadi has said that preventing malnutrition, particularly among children, is essential to building a healthy, productive population and achieving sustainable human capital development.

He made this assertion while receiving a delegation of Commissioners of Budget from the 19 Northern States and representatives of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), led by Mrs. Clementina Okoro, Director of Food and Nutrition at the Federal Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning, during a courtesy visit to Government House, Dutse, on Monday.

The delegation was in Jigawa State for a three-day zonal review meeting on Nigeria’s Food Systems Transformation Pathways, aimed at assessing progress, sharing experiences, and strengthening coordination among states towards the implementation of the national strategy.

Speaking to the delegation, Governor Namadi expressed appreciation for the choice of Jigawa State as the venue for the meeting, describing food systems transformation as an area of considerable interest to his administration.

Agricultural development, he said, must go beyond food production to comprise the entire value chain, including processing, value addition, transportation, and final consumption, particularly emphasizing the need to prioritize preventive measures against malnutrition.

β€œOur priority should be prevention. We should not wait until malnutrition reaches a stage where curative intervention becomes necessary. We must put appropriate measures in place to prevent it from occurring in the first place,” he said.

He described nutrition as a critical component of human capital development, adding that a healthy and well-nourished population was fundamental to sustainable progress.

β€œHuman capital is fundamental to development. Without a healthy and productive population, achieving progress becomes difficult. For us to build a capable and productive human resource base, we must ensure that our children are healthy and adequately nourished.”

Governor Namadi called for a systematic approach to addressing malnutrition, involving the identification of appropriate interventions, the levels at which they should be implemented, and the right time for their delivery.

He assured the delegation of the state government's continued support for the initiative, noting that although the strategy was being coordinated at the national level, its ultimate benefits would be felt by citizens across the states.

β€œI therefore assure you that the Jigawa State Government will support your efforts and continue to encourage the work you are doing. Although the initiative involves collaboration at the national level, its ultimate benefits will be felt by our people across the states.”

Speaking earlier, the leader of the delegation, Mrs. Clementina Okoro, explained that the zonal review meetings were designed to cover all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, with regions grouped according to their geopolitical zones to ensure inclusive participation.

Mrs. Okoro commended the Jigawa State Government for its hospitality and expressed satisfaction with the presentations and initiatives shared during the review meeting.

She particularly highlighted the state's homegrown solutions, including the Masaki Programme, describing the reported interventions as encouraging examples of efforts to improve food systems and nutritional outcomes.

"Food systems transformation cuts across various sectors, ranging from agriculture, which deals with production, through processing,” she said.

She stressed the importance of involving women, young people, and small and medium-sized enterprises in the food value chain, saying their participation would promote value addition, create economic opportunities, and help address post-harvest losses, which remain a major challenge in the country.

She further noted that the delegation had received encouraging reports from participating states on efforts to strengthen nutrition financing through increased budgetary allocations, approvals, and releases.

AGRICULTURAL TRANSFORMATION: JIGAWA SENDS 65 SCHOLARS TO CHINA FOR ADVANCED TRAINING

In continuation of its drive for agricultural transformation, the Jigawa State Government is sending 65 scholars to the People’s Republic of China for postgraduate studies in agriculture and related disciplines under the second phase of its agricultural capacity development programme.

The scholars include 50 Master’s students and 15 PhD candidates selected under the Jigawa–China Agricultural Capacity Cooperation Programme, secured through the bilateral scholarship framework of the Government of the People’s Republic of China.

The programme is being implemented through the Jigawa State Agricultural Transformation Agency (JATA), in collaboration with the state’s Ministry of Higher Education.

Speaking at the farewell ceremony for the scholars, Governor Malam Umar Namadi said the initiative was another important step in the administration’s commitment to human capital development and agricultural transformation.

β€œToday’s event represents another important step in the implementation of our 12-Point Agenda, particularly our commitment to human capital development,” he said.

According to Governor Namadi agricultural transformation requires sustained investment in skilled manpower, scientific research, innovation and technology.

β€œOur commitment to human capital development and agricultural transformation must go hand in hand. We cannot transform agriculture without developing the manpower required to drive that transformation. Equally, we cannot achieve meaningful progress in agriculture without embracing science, research, innovation and technology.”

Under the programme, the 50 master's students will undertake three-year full postgraduate programmes, while the 15 doctoral candidates will pursue five-year PhD programmes.

Their fields of study cover a broad range of disciplines relevant to the state's agricultural development priorities, including soil and water conservation, desertification control, forest ecology, vegetable science, crop science, crop genetics and breeding, agricultural entomology and pest control, plant pathology, agricultural engineering, food science and engineering, animal genetics and breeding, poultry genetics and breeding, aquatic science, environmental science and engineering, and rural and regional development, including rural finance and insurance.

Governor Namadi emphasised the importance of strengthening agricultural research institutions, highlighting his administration’s efforts to transform the Jigawa State Agricultural Research Institute into one of the leading state-owned agricultural research institutions in Nigeria.

The Governor further stated that his administration had continued to sponsor local agricultural research on crops particularly important to Jigawa State, including sesame, wheat, rice and hibiscus.
He explained that the research aimed to identify practical ways to enhance crop production and yields, boost farmers' earnings, and strengthen their livelihoods.

β€œWe want to understand how research can help farmers produce more, increase their earnings and improve their livelihoods. Ultimately, when we improve the yield of smallholder farmers, we also improve their incomes,” he said.

The governor further disclosed that another group of 16 students, whose programmes were initially scheduled to take place in Russia, would have their studies transferred to China due to the security situation there. He anticipated that the students would leave soon.

He noted that his administration’s investment in human capital extended beyond agriculture to education, information and communication technology, and other critical sectors, stressing that investment in people remained central to sustainable development.

Addressing the departing scholars, Governor Namadi urged them to remain focused on their academic programmes, respect the laws and culture of their host country, and conduct themselves responsibly as ambassadors of Jigawa State and Nigeria.

"The resources being invested in you are public fundsβ€”taxpayers’ money entrusted to us for the development of our people.

β€œYou must therefore see yourselves as having a responsibility to the people of Jigawa State. When you complete your studies and return, we expect you to put your acquired knowledge and skills to work in the service of our state and its people.”

JIGAWA STATE SIGN $10M DEAL WITH INDIAN FIRM TO BUILD MODERN HATCHERY

As part of its agricultural transformation efforts, the Jigawa State Government has signed a $10 million Joint Venture Agreement with India’s Srinivasa Farms Private Limited for the establishment of a modern hatchery in the state.

The agreement provides for Srinivasa Farms to hold 60 percent equity in the venture, while the Jigawa State Government will own the remaining 40 percent, as the proposed facility is expected to be the first modern hatchery of its kind in Northern Nigeria.

Governor Malam Umar Namadi, who presided over the signing ceremony, described the partnership as an important stage in the state's agricultural transformation efforts and expressed confidence that it would create new opportunities for poultry farmers.

β€œI am confident that this project will revolutionize the poultry industry, not only in Jigawa State and Northern Nigeria, but across the country. It is also part of our efforts to support the federal government's agenda on food security,” the governor said.

He stated that the partnership followed engagements with Srinivasa Farms, including a visit to its facilities in India, where the state delegation observed its poultry operations and programmes for supporting smallholder farmers.

β€œThe way the company empowers smallholder farmers, helping them to grow and establish sustainable businesses, greatly impressed us. We believe that Jigawa State has many poultry farmers who have struggled year after year, facing several challenges and making losses.

β€œWith this joint venture, I believe the poultry industry will thrive in Jigawa State, Insha Allah.”

The signed agreement contains provisions for training, technical guidance, and other forms of support to help smallholder poultry farmers improve their production and business operations.

The governor said the hatchery agreement was one of five partnerships being pursued following his visit to India as part of the state government’s effort to attract investment, strengthen agricultural value chains, and create opportunities for young people.

Making his remarks, the Srinivasa Farms’ Vice President, Mr. Senthil Kumar Krishnan, said the joint venture would focus on empowering rural communities and improving poultry production efficiency through technical services and quality products.

He said that farmers in Jigawa currently depend on supplies of day-old chicks from distant locations, including Kaduna, with long transportation periods sometimes affecting the quality of the birds upon arrival.

β€œBy producing the chicks locally, we will be able to address these challenges. We will work with the government to provide the best possible support to farmers so that they can obtain quality chicks when they need them.

β€œBeyond supplying the chicks, we will also extend technical support to farmers, guiding them on how to raise the birds and achieve better results. Better production performance will translate into improved profitability for farmers. That is our main target.”

Furthermore, the Commissioner for Livestock Development, Professor Salim Abdurrahman Lawal, said the investment would address some of the most persistent constraints facing poultry farmers, particularly the high cost and unreliable supply of day-old chicks.

He explained that many chicks supplied to farmers in the northern region are transported from production centers in southern Nigeria, covering distances estimated at between 1,200 and 1,500 kilometers.

β€œThis long journey affects their condition and slows their response to feeding,” he said.
With the proposed hatchery in Jigawa, he said transportation distances within the state would be significantly reduced, with no location expected to be more than approximately 150 kilometers from the facility.

β€œWe have also made plans to establish delivery facilities and involve young people in the distribution of these day-old chicks. The state government has further indicated its commitment to providing a support scheme that will offer relief to farmers in the course of production.”

The agreement was signed on behalf of the Jigawa State Government by the Commissioner for Livestock Development, Professor Salim Abdurrahman Lawal, while Mr. Senthil Kumar Krishnan signed for Srinivasa Farms Private Limited.

GOV NAMADI ASSURES CORPS MEMBERS OF SAFETY AND WELFARE, HIGHLIGHTS NYSC CAMP UPGRADES

Jigawa State Governor Malam Umar Namadi has assured members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) posted to the state of the government’s continued commitment to their safety, welfare, and general well-being, while highlighting improvements to facilities at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp in Fanisau, Dutse.

The governor gave the assurance on Monday, during his official visit to the Batch C, Stream 1 corps members at the orientation camp, where he welcomed them to Jigawa State and encouraged them to make meaningful contributions to their host communities.

Describing the NYSC scheme as an important institution for national unity and youth development, Namadi said it remains one of the most important national institutions established to promote national integration, mutual understanding, discipline, and patriotism among Nigerian youths.

He urged the corps members to embrace the people, culture, and traditions of their host communities and use their service year as an opportunity to make a positive impact on society.

β€œYour service year should not be viewed merely as a requirement for obtaining your NYSC discharge certificate. Rather, it should be considered a life-changing opportunity to make a lasting, positive difference in the lives of the people you encounter,” the governor said.

Namadi noted that the state government's 12-Point Agenda prioritizes education, healthcare, agriculture, and the digital economy, urging corps members posted to schools, health facilities, and other institutions across the 27 local government areas to discharge their responsibilities with dedication.

He also encouraged them to take advantage of the Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) programme to explore agribusiness and other enterprise opportunities during and after their service years.

On the government's interventions at the orientation camp, the governor listed the renovation of the Goodluck Ebele Jonathan Multipurpose Hall and male and female hostels, as well as the provision of 500 mattresses, 200 blankets, and three large industrial cooking pots.

Other interventions include the installation of a 100 KVA generator, 10 solar-powered security lights, and the construction of a perimeter wall reinforced with barbed wire, particularly along the section adjoining the railway station.

He further disclosed that the government had commenced the construction of the perimeter fence in 2026 in response to the ongoing railway project by the federal government. He added that contracts had recently been awarded for the renovation of two-bedroom flats, classrooms, the pavilion, toilet facilities, and a six-bedroom Block D building for NYSC staff.

The governor assured the corps members and the state NYSC management that his administration would sustain its support for the scheme, particularly in providing the facilities and security required for a safe and comfortable service year.

As part of measures to ensure their smooth integration into their places of primary assignment, Namadi issued a directive to all Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) and Local Government Councils across the state not to reject corps members posted to them.

β€œI hereby direct all Ministries, Departments, Agencies (MDAs), and Local Government Councils across Jigawa State not to reject any Corps Member posted to them,” he said.

"I charge our traditional rulers, local government chairmen, and community leaders to protect, mentor, and treat all Corps members in their domains as their sons and daughters,” the governor added.

Namadi urged the corps members to uphold discipline, integrity, humility, and patriotism throughout their service year, while avoiding social vices, cultism, and unauthorized travel.

GOV. NAMADI: PRIVATE INVESTMENT TO BOOST LOCAL CONTRACTORS, JOBS IN JIGAWA

Governor Malam Umar Namadi has reaffirmed the Jigawa State Government’s commitment to strengthening indigenous contractors and expanding employment opportunities through private-sector investment in the state.

He made this assertion when he commissioned three production facilities established by ALREN Construction Company in Dutse, the state capital.

The facilities, comprising an asphalt plant, a concrete batching plant and a precast plant, represent an investment of approximately ₦3.5 billion and are expected to improve local access to construction materials, reduce sourcing challenges for contractors and stimulate economic activities across Jigawa State.

Speaking at the commissioning ceremony, Governor Namadi said the investment aligned with his administration’s 12-Point Agenda, particularly its focus on private-sector partnership, employment generation and economic expansion.

β€œOne of our 12-Point Agenda is in action today in this place. That is a partnership with the private sector to generate employment and increase economic activities in Jigawa State,” he said.

The Governor said that the facilities would provide indigenous contractors, particularly small-scale operators, with easier access to asphalt and other essential construction materials without having to travel outside the state to procure them.

According to Governor Namadi, the availability of these materials within Jigawa would reduce operational difficulties for local contractors, strengthen their capacity to execute projects and support the growth of indigenous businesses in the construction industry.

β€œOur indigenous small contractors in Jigawa State will now have no reason to travel outside Jigawa State to get asphalt for the work they are doing.”

The governor described the investment as an example of how private-sector participation could complement government efforts to expand economic opportunities, strengthen local enterprises and create sustainable employment.

He said that the facilities had already employed 265 people, all of them indigenes of Jigawa State, adding that the company’s chairman had pledged to increase the workforce at the facilities to 500 by the first quarter of 2027.

Governor Namadi also stated that the employment generated by the investment would stimulate economic activities through workers’ earnings and contribute to government revenue.

He commended ALREN Construction Company for investing in Jigawa State and assured the company of the government’s continued cooperation and support.

"The Jigawa State Government will continue to work with you, because you are a very good partner to us.”

The governor further encouraged the company to explore investment opportunities in other sectors of the state’s economy, reiterating his administration’s commitment to maintaining an enabling environment for private businesses to thrive.

Speaking earlier, the Managing Director of ALREN Construction Company, Engr. Salim El Ters, said the investment was designed to strengthen the company’s operational capacity, support construction development and create employment opportunities.

β€œOur main concern today is to strengthen our capacity to support construction development and create valuable employment opportunities,” he said.

Engr. El Ters disclosed that the company planned to increase its overall workforce from 935 to approximately 1,170 employees, with about 30 percent of the additional employees expected to be recruited from Jigawa State.

He expressed appreciation to the state government for its support and for creating an environment conducive to private-sector investment.

JIGAWA FULANI COMMUNITY ENDORSES TINUBU, NAMADI, COMMENDS LIVESTOCK DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVES

The Fulani Community in Jigawa State has endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Malam Umar Namadi, and all aspirants seeking elective positions under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The endorsement was announced during a community gathering organized under the leadership of Alhaji Shehu Hadejia, at the Manpower Development Institute, Dutse, to appreciate the Jigawa State Government for its efforts to promote peaceful coexistence between farmers and herders and its interventions to improve livestock development across the state.

Speaking at the event, the community leader, Alhaji Shehu Hadejia, said the gathering was organized to acknowledge the government's role in sustaining peaceful relations between farming and herding communities, as well as the establishment of the Ministry of Livestock Development.

He particularly commended the government for initiatives introduced through the ministry, including the gazetting of grazing reserves, animal vaccination programmes and other interventions aimed at improving livestock production and addressing the needs of herders.

Governor Namadi described the gathering as an important event, saying that members of the Fulani community had come from different parts of the state to express appreciation to the government and declare their support for the president, the governor, and APC candidates.

β€œToday is also another important day for us. Today, the entire Fulani community in Jigawa State is here,” he said.

He further said that the gathering demonstrated the community's position on the political developments ahead of the 2027 general elections.

β€œYou can see the number of people who came from all over the state. And they were here to endorse Mr. President, the Governor, and all the APC candidates in Jigawa State.”

The governor reiterated his administration's efforts to address challenges facing livestock owners through the provision of grazing areas, watering stations, and the cultivation of alfalfa to provide feed for animals.

β€œWe have provided watering stations in every location. We are also working to grow alfalfa so that there will be sufficient food for the animals.

β€œWe are ready to provide feeds. We are ready to provide water, hospitals, schools, and everything else for them.

Governor Namadi also stated that the state had invested about ₦3.1 billion in artificial insemination over the last two to three years to improve cattle breeds and increase milk production and has been undertaking regular animal vaccination for the protection of the livestock health.

He emphasized that peaceful coexistence between farmers and herders remained essential to sustaining the peace and stability enjoyed in Jigawa State, urging communities to continue cooperating with government and security agencies to identify and report individuals whose activities could threaten public peace.

In his remarks, the Commissioner for Livestock Development, Professor Salim Mohammed, highlighted programmes and achievements recorded by the ministry within its relatively short period of establishment.

He listed the demarcation of additional grazing reserves, animal vaccination programmes and sensitization campaigns promoting peaceful coexistence between farmers and herders among the ministry's key interventions.

JIGAWA PARTNERS PRESIDENTIAL CNG INITIATIVE TO EXPAND ALTERNATIVE ENERGY INFRASTRUCTURE

The Jigawa State Government has pledged to deepen its collaboration with the Presidential Initiative on Compressed Natural Gas and Electric Vehicles (Pi-CNG & EV) to expand alternative energy infrastructure and promote the adoption of compressed natural gas (CNG), particularly in the agricultural sector.

Governor Malam Umar Namadi gave the assurance on Tuesday, when the Chairman of the Presidential Initiative, Barrister Ismaeel Ahmed, led a delegation on a courtesy visit to the Governor at Government House, Dutse.

Governor Namadi said the state’s interest in CNG extends beyond its use in transportation, saying that affordable energy for irrigation is critical to reducing farmers’ production costs and sustaining agricultural activities.

He stated that energy costs currently account for more than half of farmers’ operating expenses, a situation he said was discouraging some farmers from returning to their farms.

β€œAs of today, energy costs constitute more than 50% of the operating expenses of our farmers,” the governor said.

He also said that the state had resolved to undertake the conversion of irrigation pumps from conventional energy sources to CNG as part of measures to lower production costs, alongside other subsidies on agricultural inputs.

β€œOn this initiative, the state government is ready to bear the cost of conversion for the targeted farms. For us, going into CNG is a matter of necessity,” he said

The governor said the proposed intervention was particularly important to the state’s dry-season wheat and rice production programmes, as he reiterated Jigawa’s target of cultivating 500,000 hectares of wheat by 2030 and producing four million metric tonnes of rice annually within the same period.

He said the government was ready to provide land and other necessary support to facilitate the initiative, including collaboration with private-sector investors.

Earlier speaking, Barrister Ismaeel Ahmed described Jigawa as an important location for the expansion of CNG infrastructure because of its strategic position between Kano and the Northeast, as well as its land availability and the state government’s interest in alternative energy.

He said the presidential initiative was in discussions with private-sector investors to explore opportunities for establishing a major alternative energy hub in Jigawa, which could serve vehicles and heavy-duty transport operating along major routes.

The chairman also disclosed that the initiative was working towards expanding the number of CNG conversion centres in the state, saying that the target was to have at least 30 centres by December 2026, subject to the willingness of local investors to participate.

He added that the initiative would also explore collaboration with the state government to establish electric vehicle charging infrastructure as part of the wider alternative energy programme.

The governor welcomed the proposals and reaffirmed Jigawa State’s readiness to work with the Presidential Initiative, investors, and other relevant partners to advance the development of alternative energy infrastructure.

He said the proposed collaboration would complement the state’s investments in irrigation and agricultural mechanization while supporting efforts to reduce the cost of food production and improve farmers’ livelihoods.

JIGAWA UNVEILS NEW DATA ON EDUCATION, AGRICULTURE AND ECONOMIC PERFORMANCE

The Jigawa State Government has unveiled new data on education, agriculture, and the state’s economic performance, providing critical insights to guide development priorities, improve public service delivery, and strengthen evidence-based governance.

The data are contained in four major statistical reports unveiled on Tuesday by Governor Malam Umar Namadi during the ceremony at the Banquet Hall, Government House, Dutse.

The reports are the 2024/2025 Annual School Census, Non-Formal Education Census, Agricultural Structure Survey, and Jigawa State Gross Domestic Product (GDP) Survey 2019–2025, as he emphasized the importance of using reliable data to identify gaps, allocate resources efficiently, and measure progress across key sectors.

Speaking at the event, Governor Namadi described the reports as a major turning point in strengthening the state’s statistical system and improving public-sector decision-making.

β€œStatistics are not abstract figures. They are the backbone of socioeconomic planning, the basis for sound decisions and strategic resource allocation, and the means by which we assess performance and ensure accountability for results,” he said.

The 2024/2025 Annual School Census recorded 1,320,770 pupils in public and private primary schools, with girls accounting for 752,921, representing 57 percent.

The census recorded 999,130 pupils in public primary schools, 214,166 students in public junior secondary schools, and 137,795 in senior secondary schools. It also identified 167,975 children enrolled in one-year pre-primary education.

While 84 percent of public primary school teachers, 83 percent of junior secondary teachers, and 82 percent of senior secondary teachers possessed the required qualifications, pupil-teacher ratios remained high at 96:1, 57:1, and 38:1, respectively.

Governor Namadi said the findings reinforced the need for continued teacher recruitment and improved deployment. He cited ongoing recruitment and regularization initiatives, including the recent presentation of appointment letters to 2,020 teachers, as part of efforts to address staffing gaps.

The first comprehensive Non-Formal Education Census conducted across all 27 local government areas identified 10,197 centers catering for 1,116,289 learners in Islamiyya and Tsangaya schools, adult education and vocational skills programs.

The report also documented the welfare and living conditions of Almajiri learners, revealing that 66 percent depended on community support for daily meals. It identified significant accommodation challenges, with 61.1 per cent of sleeping facilities requiring major repairs and 3.5 per cent considered unusable.

Women accounted for 71.1 percent of adult education learners, while female participation in vocational and skills development programs stood at 1,804 out of 2,462 trainees.

The governor said the findings would guide efforts to strengthen integrated Tsangaya education, improve learners’ welfare, and expand adult literacy and vocational training. He noted that the state had established the Tsangaya Education Board to advance reforms in the sector.

The Agricultural Structure Survey covered 955,410 farming households and examined crop production, livestock, land ownership, irrigation, and access to agricultural support services.

It recorded 943,563 households engaged in crop production and 705,952 involved in livestock activities, while access to essential support services remained limited: only 7.1 per cent of farming households had contact with extension services, 3.9 per cent accessed credit, and 1.9 per cent belonged to cooperatives.

The survey also found that 91.1 percent of households did not keep farm records, while irrigation adoption stood at 15.1 percent. On food security, 25.2 percent of households were fully food secure, while 34.3 percent experienced severe food insecurity.

According to the governor, the findings would inform interventions to expand irrigation, strengthen extension services, improve access to agricultural finance, promote cooperative farming, and accelerate the transition to commercial agriculture.

Likewise, the Jigawa State GDP Survey provides an assessment of the state’s economic performance and structure: the state’s nominal GDP rose from ₦3.62 trillion in 2019 to ₦5.65 trillion in 2023, representing an increase of 35.92 per cent over the period.

Governor Namadi said the findings would support investment promotion, economic diversification, job creation, and long-term development planning.

To translate the reports into measurable outcomes, he directed the Bureau of Statistics to work with the Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning and relevant MDAs to integrate the findings into sector performance reviews, medium-term sector strategies, and the state budget cycle.

The governor also instructed government institutions to involve the Bureau in major data-gathering exercises from design and collection through validation, analysis, and dissemination to avoid duplication, reduce costs, and safeguard the credibility of official statistics.

β€œThese publications must become working instruments for actionβ€”not reports kept on shelves. Their value will ultimately be measured by better schools, wider learning opportunities, more productive agriculture, stronger economic growth, and improved public services.”

Governor Namadi reiterated his administration’s commitment to evidence-based governance, effective implementation, and accountability in delivering development outcomes for the people of Jigawa State.
