We had the pleasure of welcoming a distinguished delegation from the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Transport, Agriculture and Viniculture of Rhineland-Palatinate to the Nigerian-German Chamber of Commerce.
The delegation was led by Dr. Joe Weingarten, Head of Department for Foreign Trade, and included Victoria Hellmeister (Chief Officer for Foreign Trade), Katrin Heilf (Executive Officer for Foreign Trade), and Marc Zander, CEO & Founder of afriocn GmbH.
It was a meaningful exchange of ideas. Together, we explored practical opportunities to strengthen trade ties between Rhineland-Palatinate and Nigeria, with conversations centered on private sector partnerships, investment facilitation, and unlocking new areas of collaboration.
Our President, Yemi Keri, and Director General, Marilyn Rapu, were delighted to receive the delegation, alongside esteemed Chamber members such as Aro Lekan Bakare, Founder & CEO of The Bakare Foundation, and Olademeji Adedara, CEO of Capstone Capital Limited.
Following the meeting, the delegation also visited Turtle Bay Sanctuary, where they experienced one of Lagos’ unique conservation and eco-tourism spots, rounding off the visit with a glimpse of the city’s natural heritage.
We look forward to turning these conversations into concrete collaborations.
