TWO CHINESE NATIONALS SERVED NO-BAIL WARRANTS FOR KIDNAPPING CASE
The Philippine National Police (PNP) has strengthened its campaign against kidnapping syndicates after two Chinese nationals facing three counts of Kidnapping for Ransom and Serious Illegal Detention were officially served their warrants of arrest with no bail recommended on February 4, 2026, inside the Bacoor City Custodial Facility in Cavite.
The warrants were issued by the Regional Trial Court Branch 14 in Nasugbu, Batangas, in connection with a kidnapping incident that occurred on May 2, 2025, in Barangay Balaytigui, Nasugbu, Batangas, involving multiple victims, including two Chinese nationals, one Korean national, and one Filipino.
The service of warrant was carried out at around 3:00 PM by personnel of the Bacoor City Police Station Warrant Section, in close coordination with the Anti-Kidnapping Group – Luzon Field Unit (AKG-LFU). Authorities served the warrants inside the custodial facility in accordance with court directives and proper legal procedures.
The court order, issued on the same date, covered three separate criminal case numbers and carried a no-bail recommendation.
In line with standard operating procedures, the accused were informed of the reason for their arrest and were properly apprised of their constitutional rights. They were also briefed on their protections under Republic Act 9745 or the Anti-Torture Act of 2009, in a language known to and understood by them.
The entire process was documented and video recorded using alternative recording devices, reinforcing transparency and accountability in police operations.
PNP Chief Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr. stressed that the organization remains relentless in ensuring that kidnapping suspects are made to answer before the law.
“Kidnapping is a heinous crime that destroys lives and communities. Walang puwang sa ating lipunan ang ganitong uri ng karahasan. The PNP will pursue these cases to the fullest extent of the law, regardless of nationality or status,” PGen Nartatez Jr. said.
He stressed that the PNP remains firm in ensuring that all suspects involved in serious crimes are held accountable.
“Hindi kami titigil. Once a warrant is issued, we make sure it is properly served and the suspects are made to answer before the courts. This is part of our duty to protect everyone who lives and works in our country,” he added.
The PNP reiterated its commitment to sustaining aggressive, lawful, and transparent operations against kidnapping syndicates and other organized crimes, in line with its service thrust, “Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas: Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat at Nararamdaman.”

TOP CTG SUSPECT CAPTURED IN BICOL REGION
A major figure linked to the Communist Terrorist Group (CTG) is now in police custody, marking a significant win for peace and security efforts in the Bicol Region. The suspect, listed as Rank No. 2 Regional Most Wanted Person, was arrested in a coordinated law enforcement operation in Esperanza, Masbate on February 3, 2026.
The arrested individual, known by the alias “Rodel,” was cornered through a joint operation led by Police Regional Office 5 (PRO 5) under the Enhanced Managing Police Operations framework. Authorities identified him as an active CTG member operating in Masbate and allegedly involved in violent activities in the area.
According to police records, the suspect is facing a Murder case with no recommended bail. He was immediately brought to the Esperanza Municipal Police Station for proper booking, documentation, and legal proceedings.
Chief Philippine National Police, PGEN Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., commended the operating units for the successful arrest, emphasizing that the PNP will remain relentless in running after individuals who hide behind violence and terror.
“Hindi kami titigil. Those who choose to harm innocent lives and threaten peace in our communities will be hunted down and brought before the law,” PGEN Nartatez Jr. said.
He stressed that the PNP’s anti-terrorism and anti-criminality campaign is not just about arrests—but about protecting communities from fear and violence.
“Walang puwang ang terorismo sa ating bansa. Kung akala nila makakatakas sila habang buhay, nagkakamali sila. Walang ligtas sa batas, at walang makakalusot sa ating pagbabantay,” he added.
The arrest is seen as a major step in weakening the operational capability of CTG elements in Masbate and nearby areas, while preventing further criminal activities linked to armed groups.
The PNP reiterated that operations against wanted persons, armed group members, and other high-threat individuals will remain aggressive, intelligence-driven, and coordinated with partner agencies to ensure public safety and stability nationwide.
The Philippine National Police remains committed to delivering results through intensified law enforcement efforts anchored on the call of Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas: Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat at Nararamdaman.
