Here are the Day 2 activities for National Mental Health Week

1. Emotion Wall
The School Care Center & SELG Officers put up an emotion wall were all learners are free to post how they feel.

2. Madala Art Coloring for Kindergarten
This activity will help improve focus & concentration while learning to relax through coloring mandala patterns.

3. Safe Place/Happy Place Drawing for Grade 1-3
This activity will show things and place that makes learners feel happy and safe.

LAKAS ISIP: A Movement for Mental Health & Well-Being

In line with Division Memorandum No. 402 s. 2026, Pineda-Gutierrez Elementary School kick-start the three-day celebration of the Mental Health Month.

Day 1 includes the reciting of the “Pledge of Support for Mental Health”, led by Mr. Karl Vincent C. Guevarra, RPm, School Counselor Associate I, during the flag raising ceremony. The School Care Center was also introduced.

During GMRC time, Grade 4 & 6 learners had a film viewing and short discussion about why mental health matters.

Other activities for Kinder to Grade 3 learners will be conducted on the second and third day of the celebration.

GULAYAN SA PAARALAN VALIDATION

The Health Unit of SDO Angeles City, headed by Nurse Agnes J. Quiambao, visits the school to check and validate the implementation of "Gulayan sa Paaralan", following proper guidelines from DepEd.

The Gulayan sa Paaralan Program (GPP) is a Department of Education (DepEd) program that encourages all public schools to establish and maintain school vegetable gardens. Its main goals are to improve learners' nutrition, promote healthy eating habits, and support food security in schools.

Through the consolidated efforts of the teachers, learners, parents, SPTA and other stakeholders, and the support of our school principal, Ms. Cherry Y. Hipolito, EdD, the school vegetable garden continues to thrive and florish with green leafy vegetables and sweet fruits.
