The Local Government of Balaoan, under the leadership of Mayor Carlo Castor U. Concepcion, conducts a School Awareness Campaign meeting on October 2, 2026, at the Municipal Conference Hall, with secondary school heads to discuss the planned anti-drug abuse campaign in schools.

The activity is facilitated by Ms. Zyra Joy Cabungan, Social Welfare Assistant and Municipal Nutrition Action Officer (MNAO) Designate, to strengthen coordination with schools and promote awareness of the harmful effects of drug abuse among students.

This is in preparation for the awarding of incentives and plaques of recognition during the Annual Town Fiesta.

𝗟𝗚𝗨 𝗕𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗼𝗮𝗻 𝗘𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗼𝘆𝗲𝗲𝘀 𝗪𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲

The Local Government Unit of Balaoan conducts various activities under the LGU Employees Wellness Program 2026 from September 22–30, 2026, promoting the health and well-being of municipal employees under the leadership of Mayor Carlo Castor U. Concepcion.

The program kicks off on September 22 with FBS/CBC screening, Zumba, and Self-Care Day, followed by chess and volleyball tournaments that promote teamwork and camaraderie. The chess tournament takes place at the Municipal Annex Hall, while the volleyball tournament features four competing teams at the Covered Court in Butubut Oeste from September 22–25. On September 26, employees participate in the Color Run along Orielle St., Olivar St., Lopez St., and Zambrano St., culminating in the Biggest Loser Challenge final weigh-in on September 30 at the Municipal Conference Hall.

The activities are facilitated by the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office, in partnership with the Municipal Health Office for health-related activities, encouraging physical fitness, healthy living, and camaraderie among LGU employees.

The Municipality of Balaoan conducts a technical meeting with the DSHUD Review Team on September 30, 2026, for the review of the Comprehensive Land and Water Use Plan (CLWUP) 2026–2037, under the leadership of Mayor Carlo Castor U. Concepcion.

The meeting is facilitated by EnP. Charlie Fedencio O. Balanon, Human Resource Management Officer and concurrent Municipal Planning and Development Coordinator (MPDC), joined by Ms. Rose Orfiano, Executive Assistant I; Mr. Edmar Francis Siapno, Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Officer; the Municipal Agriculture Office headed by Ms. Betty O. Junto, Municipal Agriculturist; and Mr. Christopher Luigi B. Rodriguez, Municipal Assessor.

Joining the technical meeting are DSHUD representatives Jonathan Lang-ay, HHRO II; Kier Lorenz B. Fernandez, HHRO III; and Anne Danielle C. Fabro, HHRO IV, together with UPRI representatives Marie Claire Mandar, Stephany Joy N. Ayo, and Fernando Jose Calvario.
