TINGNAN| Opisyal na nilagdaan ng DSWD Field Office - NCR sa ilalim ng Sustainable Livelihood Program kasama ang University of the East (UE) – Caloocan sa pamamagitan ng Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) na ginanap sa University Engineering Building noong Huwebes (Oct 29).

Kasama sina DSWD FO-NCR Assistant Regional Director for Operations (ARDO) Bienvenido V. Barbosa Jr., UE President Dr. Zosimo M. Battad, Prof. Emeteria B. Dalisay at iba pang mga kinatawan ng Unibersidad. Sa pamamagitan ng kasunduan na ito ay magkakaroon ng libreng pagsasanay ang mga kalahok ng programa kabilang ang financial management, business management at mga kasanayan sa pagtatrabaho upang mas mapahusay ang kanilang kakayahang magnegosyo at trabaho, tungo sa mas maunlad na pamumuhay.

Sa kanyang mensahe, binigyang-diin ni ARDO Barbosa na ang SLP ay higit pa sa pagbibigay ng paunang tulong-pinansyal. Ito ay nakatuon sa pagpapayaman ng kaalaman, kasanayan, at kakayahan ng bawat kalahok upang gabayan sila tungo sa matatag at napapanatiling pag-unlad ng kanilang kabuhayan.

TINGNAN | Nagsagawa ang Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office–National Capital Region (DSWD FO-NCR), sa pamamagitan ng Disaster Response Management Division (DRMD), ng monitoring activity sa Manila North Cemetery ngayong araw ng Sabado, October 31, upang masubaybayan ang sitwasyon sa lugar at matiyak ang kaligtasan at kaayusan ng publiko sa panahon ng paggunita ng Undas.

Kasabay nito, nakipag-ugnayan din ang DSWD FO-NCR sa Manila Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) upang palakasin ang koordinasyon at pagtutulungan sa pagpapanatili ng kaligtasan at kaayusan ng mga pamilyang dumadalaw sa kanilang mga yumaong mahal sa buhay.

TINGNAN | Tiniyak ng Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office – National Capital Region (DSWD FO-NCR) ang kahandaan ng mga miyembro ng Quick Response Teams (QRTs) sa pamamagitan ng Pre-Deployment Orientation na isinagawa ng Disaster Response Management Division (DRMD) bilang paghahanda sa nalalapit na ASEAN Summit 2026.

Layunin ng aktibidad na maihanda ang mga QRTs sa kanilang mga responsibilidad at tungkulin, gayundin sa mga kinakailangang hakbang upang matiyak ang maagap, maayos, at koordinadong pagbibigay ng tulong sakaling magkaroon ng mga emergency o pangangailangan sa araw ng pagtitipon.

Ang ASEAN o Association of Southeast Asian Nations ay isang samahan ng mga bansa sa Timog-Silangang Asya na nagtataguyod ng pagkakaisa at pagtutulungan sa rehiyon. Sa pamamagitan ng ASEAN Summit, nagtitipon ang mga lider ng mga kasaping bansa upang talakayin ang mahahalagang usapin at palakasin ang ugnayan ng mga bansa sa rehiyon.

LOOK | The DSWD Field Office – National Capital Region, through its Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP), joined the 2nd Social Protection Conference in celebration of the 37th National Statistics Month, held on October 27 - 29, 2026, at AC Hotel by Marriott Manila, Pasig City.

Through its exhibit, SLP proudly showcased a variety of handcrafted products made by program participants from the City of Marikina and Mandaluyong, including mobile charms, keychains, accessories, tote bags, wallets, and other creative items perfect for souvenirs and event giveaways.

The event served as an opportunity to promote and highlight locally made products and expand their market opportunities.

TINGNAN | Lumagda sa isang memorandum of agreement (MOA) ang DSWD Field Office - NCR, Philippine Health Insurance Corporation - NCR, at Department of Health - Metro Manila Center for Health Development (DOH-MMCHD) ngayong Huwebes (Oktubre 29).

Pinangunahan ni Dr. Bernadette Lico, Vice President ng PRO-NCR; Dr. Janice Malesido, OIC Regional Director ng DOH-MMCHD at DSWD FO-NCR Regional Director Atty. Michael Joseph Lorico. Ginanap ang MOA signing sa opisina ng PhilHealth-NCR sa Panorama Technocenter, Quezon City.

Layunin ng kasunduang ito na ilapit ang lahat ng empleyado, kliyente at residente ng Center and Residential Care Facilities (CRCF) ng DSWD FO-NCR sa Yaman ng Kalusugan Program (YAKAP) at Guaranteed Access to Medical Outpatient Treatment (GAMOT) Program ng Philhealth.

Papalakasin din ang advocacy campaign sa bawat gagawing Family Development Session (FDS) upang ang lahat ng Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) beneficiaries ay magamit ang libreng gamutan at gamot ng nasabing programa.

IN PHOTOS | Care for the Caregivers: Ina Healing Center Launches First Staff Stress Debriefing

Under the banner of “Pagkalinga sa Tagapag-alaga” (Caring for the Caregiver), the INA Healing Center conducted its inaugural staff stress debriefing session on October 22, 2026, targeting the mental health and emotional well-being of front-line social service workers.

The five-hour session, held at the Center’s Pillow Room, was led by Ms. Lovelyn Trajano, Psychologist III of the National Vocational Rehabilitation Center and designated psychologist for INA Healing Center. The initiative focused on helping public servants balance their intense caregiving responsibilities with proactive self-care.

During the session, Ms. Trajano discussed three key concerns that caregivers may experience in their work: compassion fatigue, burnout, and secondary traumatic stress. She emphasized early identification of emotional exhaustion, routine self-care practices, and timely professional support as essential components to maintaining both personal wellness and high-quality public service delivery.

Following the clinical debriefing, staff engaged in interactive wellness and recreational activities. Games such as Pinoy Henyo and Family Feud were integrated into the schedule to encourage relaxation, relieve stress, and foster camaraderie among team members in an informal environment.

By institutionalizing staff wellness measures, INA Healing Center reinforces a core organizational principle: supporting the mental health of caregivers is a fundamental prerequisite for delivering compassionate and effective care to others.
