Here's some exciting news! For Philippine Environment Month of June, Baybay City Ecosavers Program of the Local Government Unit of Baybay City is coming your way!
In celebration of 19th Baybay City Charter Day, visit our Ecosavers Exchange Booth at the Baybay City Agri-Fair starting June 10, 2026!
Students from Grades 1 to 10 can exchange fifteen (15) pieces of eco-bricks for a Lihok Baybay backpack filled with school supplies.
See you at our booth! Limited supplies only—first come, first serve.
Turn your eco-efforts into rewards. Save the environment and get something useful for school!
IMPORTANT NOTE: Only ecobricks that pass the standards can be exchanged. It needs to be entirely full, compact and dry.

A pair of white shoes was found on a bleacher near the swimming pool at Binaybayon Sports Complex yesterday, March 5, 2026, at around 10:27 PM.

📸 Ecosavers in Action at Butigan Elementary School! 🌍♻️
December 4, 2025 - The Baybay City Ecosavers Program, spearheaded by the City Environment and Natural Resources Office, once again reached the enthusiastic learners of Butigan Elementary School—continuing the city’s commitment to raising young environmental stewards through simple, impactful habits.
Students proudly brought their collected ecobricks—plastic bottles packed with residual waste—and exchanged them for essential school items. Beyond the bags and school supplies, the activity highlights a deeper mission: empowering students to take part in solid waste management while rewarding their dedication to sustainability.
Teachers and staff expressed their appreciation for the growing number of learners actively participating in the program, noting how environmental awareness is becoming part of the school’s daily culture.
A warm salute to the hardworking students, supportive teachers, and the dedicated School Head, Ma’am Arelene Bacalso, for continuously embracing and strengthening this advocacy. Each ecobrick submitted is a step toward a cleaner community and a greener Baybay City.

CITY ENRO JOINS THE BE WARRIORS FOR A CLEANER, GREENER COASTLINE!
Today, November 15, 2025, the Baybay City Senior High School Business and Entrepreneurship (BE) Warriors carried out their Coastal Clean-up Drive and Mangrove Planting Community Extension Activity in Sitio Punong, Barangay Hipusngo, Baybay City, Leyte.
We are proud to partner with these dedicated BE Warriors in this meaningful initiative for environmental protection.
Coastal waste collected, mangrove seedlings planted; strengthening our shared commitment to safeguarding our marine and coastal ecosystems.
We extend our heartfelt appreciation to all students, teachers, community volunteers, and partner agencies who took part in this activity. Your passion and teamwork continue to make Baybay City a model of environmental stewardship.

🌍 Another Successful Ecosavers Exchange! 🌱
October 2, 2025 – The Baybay City Ecosavers Program, through the City Environment and Natural Resources Office, once again carried out its Ecosavers Exchange Activity, continuing our mission of turning simple environmental actions into big educational rewards.
Students eagerly exchanged their ecobricks—plastic bottles filled with residual waste—for essential school supplies bags with notebooks, paper, pencils, and pens. This activity not only supports our learners but also strengthens our collective effort in solid waste management and environmental sustainability.
In total, 14 students have collected a complete set of ecobricks, and thus were given the bag with school supplies!! 👏👏👏
A big salute to the dedicated students who took part, and heartfelt thanks to the teachers and School Head, Ma'am Arelene Bacalso, who continue to support this advocacy at Butigan Elementary School. Together, we are building a cleaner, greener Baybay City!
