One of the highlights of the ceremony was the recognition of student achievers and faculty researchers whose outstanding accomplishments in competitions, research, and other scholarly pursuits brought pride and honor to the University.
In student achievements, members of the NVSU Varsity Courier secured first place in the StatisTikTok Contest during the 37th National Statistics Month celebration of the Philippine Statistics Authority.
Among the University's faculty accomplishments, Dr. Jennifer T. Ferrer was conferred the Textile Academy Award as a member of the inaugural batch of SIDLAK during the TELAkademi program organized by the Department of Science and Technology – Philippine Textile Research Institute (DOST-PTRI).
In research and development, Nueva Vizcaya State University (NVSU) garnered First Place in the Development Category during the 37th Cagayan Valley Agriculture, Aquatic and Resources Research and Development (CVAARRD) Regional Symposium on Research, Development and Extension (RDE) Highlights, held on October 28-29, 2026, at Quirino State University in Diffun, Quirino.
Mr. Joseph Bubod, Director for Sports and Development, encouraged everyone to participate in the Pickleball Sports Clinic under Project SIGLAKAS (Strengthening Individuals Through Games, Lifestyle Activities, Knowledge, and Sports), a wellness initiative anchored on HATAW (Holistic Approach Toward Achieving Wellness).
Highlighting the importance of service grounded in purpose and compassion, College of Information Technology Education (CITE) Dean Dr. Carmelo Alejo D. Bisquera, in his inspirational message at the Bayombong Campus, reminded members of the University community that their work extends beyond routine responsibilities and contributes to a lasting impact on future generations.
"Kapag ginagawa natin ang ating trabaho nang may puso, paggalang, at malinaw na layunin, hindi lamang tayo nagtuturo o naglilingkod. We inspire. We uplift. And we help build a lasting legacy for the generations to come,” he stated.
Meanwhile, at the Bambang Campus, Dr. Mary Gay T. Aguila encouraged participants not to overcomplicate simple matters and to focus on what truly matters. Through the “refrigerator story,” she emphasized the value of clarity, humility, positivity, compassion, and patience in both work and life.
"Sometimes, we spend too much time overthinking when what is needed in clarity and action; before accommodating responsibilities, we must first address what is already occupying our attention. This is equally true in the workplace and in life,” Dr. Aguila said.
Celebrating his 29th year of service at NVSU, University President Dr. Wilfredo A. Dumale Jr. reflected on the importance of honoring departed loved ones by valuing their memories and living out the values they imparted.
He also called on the NVSU community to uphold the values that define a true NVSUan, particularly integrity and accountability, reject all forms of corruption, and continue promoting unity and cooperation in addressing the University's challenges and concerns.
