Davao City Does It Again! 🏆 Retains Top Spot as Philippines' Best City Travel Destination

According to the April 2026 rankings by the World Travel Index (WTI), Davao City has been named the best city for travel in the Philippines for the second consecutive year.

The global travel data platform, which evaluates destinations based on safety, affordability, infrastructure, and tourism appeal, awarded Davao City an overall world index rating of 75.66.

This score reflects optimal conditions for a positive travel experience and marks a slight improvement from its 2025 rating of 75.48.

WHY: DCWD’s Production Wells under Toril, Lubogan, and Dumoy WSS will be affected by Davao Light and Power Company’s (DLPC) power interruptions on said dates that are needed to facilitate their transfer of loads to nearby substations and back to normal set-up.

Although the power cuts are shorter in duration, DCWD needs additional time for re-switching on of the affected facilities, pressure build-up, and line delivery, thus the longer duration of water service interruptions.
