🦟 ADVOCACY KONTRA DENGUE SA BARANGAY TABUCAN, CALINOG

Ang Iloilo Provincial Health Office, sa koordinasyon sang Calinog Rural Health Unit (RHU) nga ginapangunahan ni Dr. Cesarey Mestidio, kaupod ang assigned midwife kag Rural Sanitation Inspectors nga sanday Ma’am Jeneah kag Ma’am Jia, nagpadayon sa kampanya kontra dengue agud mapabakod ang kahibalo sang komunidad parte sa paglikaw kag pagpugong sang dengue.

Ang aktibidad gn hiwat sa pagpaathag sang importante nga impormasyon parte sa dengue prevention and control, agud mapabakod ang partisipasyon sang komunidad sa pagpugong sang pagdamo sang lamok.

Nagpartisipar sa advocacy ang mga Barangay Officials, Barangay Health Workers (BHWs), kag mga miyembro sang 4Ps.

Paagi sa 4S Strategy Kontra Dengue, ginapahanumdom ang tanan nga magtinlo sang palibot, magpangita kag magkuha sang mga lugar nga ginapamugaran sang lamok, kag maghimo sang nagakaigo nga tikang agud malikawan ang dengue, kag magpakonsulta dayon kon may mga sintomas sang dengue.

💚 Kung Wala Sang Lamok, Wala Sang Dengue!

The Iloilo Provincial Health Office (PHO), in collaboration with the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Barotac Viejo, conducted the Serbisyo Ke Ati initiative on October 30, 2026, in Barotac Viejo, Iloilo, providing essential healthcare services through PHO augmentation. The activity offered medical consultations, dental services, and thyroid screening, particularly for the elderly and Indigenous Peoples (IPs), ensuring that accessible and quality healthcare reaches communities that need it most.

Through this initiative, the Provincial Government of Iloilo, together with the LGU of Barotac Viejo, continues to strengthen its commitment to inclusive healthcare, bringing vital health services closer to every Ilonggo and ensuring that no sector of the community is left behind.

🐾 STRENGTHENING ANIMAL BITE MANAGEMENT AND RABIES PREVENTION IN ILOILO! 🩺

The Iloilo Provincial Health Office successfully conducted a Three-Day Animal Bite Management and Skills Training on November 27–29, 2026, at Hotel Del Rio, Iloilo City, with a practicum held at Ramon Tabiana Memorial District Hospital.

The training aimed to enhance the knowledge, competencies, and practical skills of healthcare workers in the proper management of animal bite patients, including risk assessment, wound care, and the appropriate administration of rabies post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP).

Through a combination of interactive discussions, skills demonstrations, and hands-on clinical practice, participants gained valuable experience in delivering timely, appropriate, and quality animal bite management services to their communities.

Together, let us work toward a safer, healthier, and rabies-free Iloilo Province by 2028! 🐶🐱💉

United for Health: Empowering People, Strengthening Systems!

The Iloilo Provincial Health Office (PHO) - Human Resource for Health Management and Development Unit (HRHMDU), together with the Hospital Management Office (HMO), participated in the "Strengthening Partnerships: A Stakeholders' Convergence and Orientation for HRH Master Plan Development" hosted by the Department of Health (DOH) on October 19–23, 2026, at Citadines Amigo Iloilo Hotel.

Together with delegates from other PHOs, the Iloilo City Health Office, and PDOHOs across Region 6, our representatives engaged in vital discussions and workshops aimed at refining local health systems and advancing strategic health workforce planning.

Serving as a resource speaker, Mr. Val Tristan Camangon, Planning Officer II of the Iloilo PHO, presented "HRH Master Plan Journey: Experience, Challenges, and Lessons Learned," highlighting Iloilo Province's best practices, operational hurdles, and key insights in strategic health personnel management.

Through continuous learning, data-driven planning, and strong inter-agency partnerships, the Iloilo PHO remains committed to ensuring an adequate, competent, and well-supported health workforce for every Ilonggo!

The Iloilo Provincial Health Office served as a resource speaker during the Mental Health Awareness with the Family activity organized by the Tubungan Primary Care Facility on October 29, 2026, in Tubungan, Iloilo. With the theme, “Lived Experiences Heard: Real Voices, Real Change,” the activity highlighted the importance of listening to individuals with lived experiences and fostering greater understanding and awareness of mental health within families and communities.

The activity provided an avenue to promote open conversations, reduce stigma and discrimination, and emphasize the vital role of families in supporting the mental well-being of their loved ones. It also reinforced the importance of accessible, compassionate, and community-based mental health services.

Through collaborative efforts and continued health education, the Iloilo Provincial Health Office remains committed to promoting mental health awareness and building communities where everyone feels heard, understood, supported, and empowered.
