Under the leadership of SFO3 Dimpo C. Baga, Acting Fire Sub-Station Commander, Makilas Fire Sub-Station conducted a Fire Safety on Demand activity during the Barangay Session of Barangay Makilas to strengthen coordination and preparedness for the anticipated effects of El Niรฑo.

The discussion highlighted the importance of identifying alternative water sources, preparing essential resources, and establishing a Technical Working Group to ensure organized and collaborative community efforts in addressing potential challenges.

The Makilas Fire Sub-Station conducted a Fire Safety on Demand (FSOD) session for Civilian Armed Forces Geographical Unit (CAFGU) personnel assigned at the Buluan Patrol Base.

The session focused on practical fire prevention measures, fire safety practices, and proper actions during fire emergencies, empowering participants with essential knowledge that can be applied in their daily duties and within their community.

As the Buluan Patrol Base is located on an island, strengthening the fire safety awareness and emergency preparedness of personnel in the area is particularly important. Equipping them with basic knowledge and appropriate response measures can help ensure immediate and informed action while awaiting assistance from responding agencies.

Through FSOD, the BFP continues to bring fire safety education closer to communities and geographically isolated areasโ€”building a culture of preparedness, prevention, and shared responsibility for safety.

Under the leadership of ๐’๐…๐Ž๐Ÿ‘ ๐ƒ๐ข๐ฆ๐ฉ๐จ ๐‚. ๐๐š๐ ๐š, ๐€๐œ๐ญ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐…๐ข๐ซ๐ž ๐’๐ฎ๐›-๐’๐ญ๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐‚๐จ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐š๐ง๐๐ž๐ซ, personnel of Makilas Fire Sub-Station together Ipil Municipal Fire Station and Taway Fire Substation conducted the 911 Fire Square Road Show at Marcelo Spinola School today, as part of the BFPโ€™s continuing efforts to promote emergency preparedness and strengthen community awareness. The activity served as a platform to promote the proper use of the Unified 911 Hotline and showcase the capabilities of the Bureau of Fire Protection in emergency response and life-saving operations.

The students of Marcelo Spinola School actively participated in each station, gaining practical knowledge and hands-on experience in First Aid, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Fire Fighting, Donning and Doffing of PPE, as well as the showcase of forcible entry equipment and other specialized firefighting tools. They were also introduced to rappelling equipment and basic ropemanship, providing them with a better understanding of the skills and equipment used by firefighters during emergency operations. Through activities like these, the BFP continues to empower the youth with the knowledge, confidence, and preparedness needed to respond safely during emergencies.
