Building stronger ties with the youth!

This initiative aims to strengthen community relations, promote civic awareness, and foster meaningful engagement with the student body and school administration.

WATCH: The Civil Relations Group - North Western Luzon (CRG-NWLZN), in collaboration with the Nursing Service Unit – North Western Luzon (NSSU), conducted a joint Basic Life Support (BLS) Lecture and iCARE Program at San Fernando South Central Integrated School, Barangay Tangui, City of San Fernando, La Union.

The activity aimed to enhance emergency preparedness, promote health and wellness, and equip participants with essential knowledge on responding to medical emergencies. It also reinforced the Philippine Coast Guard's commitment to community engagement and strengthened partnerships with educational institutions in promoting public safety and well-being.

Through initiatives like this, the PCG continues to advance its maritime social works and community relations efforts in support of safer and more resilient communities.

𝐖𝐀𝐓𝐂𝐇: The Civil Relations Group - North Western Luzon (CRG-NWLZN) congratulates its Commander. 𝐄𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧 𝐉𝐚𝐲 𝐋𝐨𝐫𝐝 𝐆. 𝐁𝐮𝐚𝐝𝐨 𝐏𝐂𝐆, and 49 fellow personnel of Coast Guard District North Western Luzon (CGDNWLZN) for successfully completing the Maritime Security Law Enforcement Command (MARSLEC) Package Course 2026.

The graduation ceremony was held at Coast Guard District North Western Luzon Headquarters, Coast Guard Base Poro, Poro Point, City of San Fernando, La Union.

This achievement highlights the personnel’s commitment to enhancing their knowledge, skills, and operational capabilities in maritime security and law enforcement in support of the Philippine Coast Guard’s mandate to ensure maritime safety and security.

Empowering the youth with life-saving skills!

ICYMI: Personnel from Coast Guard District Northwestern Luzon (CGDNWLZN) recently conducted a Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Response (HADR) awareness session for the students of Divine Word College of Laoag.

The initiative aimed to equip the youth with essential disaster preparedness knowledge, covering fundamental safety protocols for natural hazards, basic life support and emergency first aid, and an inside look at water search and rescue operations. By learning emergency hotline reporting and practical response techniques, students gained a deeper understanding of how proactive readiness and youth volunteerism help build resilient, disaster-ready communities.
