On 19 October 2026, the City of Malabon University ROTC Unit, under the leadership of COL ALVIN S ASPIRAS ART (GSC) PA, Commandant, conducted its NSTP EDUCATIONAL TOUR at the SHERCON RESORT, a very special occasion for students to learn and showcase their leadership and cooperation in the outside setting rather than in the campus. In here, they have interactive activities that a student can experience, that can also fully utilizes their teamwork, and coordination. As every challenge gives them an opportunity to showcase what they have learned through their studies.
Given with their interactive activities such as like First Aid, Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Water Safety. Another activity that showcase their braveness and skills in Zipline and Rapelling where students can learn to trust and use as such with this skills that can be helpful in their futures.
With under the supervision of COL ALVIN S ASPIRAS ART (GSC) PA, Commandant, Cpl Rogie M Lacamento (Inf) PA, Admin NCO, Ms. Krisha Reeva D Caisio, RCrim, NSTP Coordinator, Administrative personel, and ROTC cadet officers they have successfully finish the program under no circumstances, with great facilitation and supervission under the students. This experience reflects the goal of Republic Act No. 9163, or the NSTP Act of 2001, which aims to develop civic consciousness, a sense of responsibility, and a commitment to service among the youth.
In the end, the true measure of learning is not only what cadets remember from their training, but also how they apply their knowledge, discipline, and leadership in real-life situations. For CMU ROTC cadets, every training and activity is a step toward becoming more disciplined, responsible, and dedicated future leaders who are ready to serve the community and the nation. Because true service begins with knowledge, grows through discipline and unity, and is proven through action.
