Knowledge and excellence paid off as 𝗟𝘂𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘀𝗲𝗮 𝗠𝗵𝗶𝗲 𝗕. 𝗣𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘇𝗼 clinched 1𝘀𝘁 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲 in the HistoPop Contest during the recently concluded 2026 Municipal Festival of Talents.

Representing Coto High School, Picazo demonstrated commendable mastery of historical knowledge, earning the distinction to represent the Masinloc District at the upcoming Division Festival of Talents on November 7, 2026.

SDO ZAMBALES CONDUCTS LEARNERS’ HEALTH EXAMINATION AT COTO HIGH SCHOOL

In its continuing commitment to safeguarding learners’ health and well-being, the Schools Division Office (SDO) of Zambales visited Coto High School to conduct a health examination for learners.

The activity was carried out by Nurse Gia Marie Collado and Nurse Lea Edaño, who assessed and monitored learners’ health status to help identify potential health concerns and determine the need for appropriate follow-up. This initiative underscores the importance of regular health monitoring in ensuring learners’ well-being and supporting their participation in school activities.

Coto High School extends its gratitude to the SDO Zambales team for its valuable service and unwavering commitment to learner welfare.

MASINLOC NORTH DISTRICT OIC-PSDS CONDUCTS SCHOOL MONITORING AT COTO HIGH SCHOOL

A commitment to quality education was underscored as Coto High School welcomed Sir Guillermo Mantes, OIC-PSDS of Masinloc North District, for a school monitoring visit.

The monitoring activity focused on the administration of the Online Summative Test 2 (iAssess) and the maintenance of a conducive teaching and learning environment. It also provided an opportunity to observe school practices, recognize areas of strength, and identify areas for further improvement.

Coto High School expresses its sincere appreciation for the continued guidance and support extended to the school in its pursuit of quality education and improved learning outcomes.

COTO HIGH SCHOOL UNDERGOES VALIDATION OF ARAL PROGRAM IMPLEMENTATION

Coto High School underwent the validation of its Academic Recovery and Accessible Learning (ARAL) Program, spearheaded by 𝙈𝙖'𝙖𝙢 𝙈𝙖𝙧𝙞𝙚 𝘼𝙣𝙣 𝙂. 𝙀𝙙𝙣𝙞𝙡𝙖𝙤, 𝑺𝒄𝒉𝒐𝒐𝒍 𝑷𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒄𝒊𝒑𝒂𝒍 𝐼𝐼𝐼 𝒐𝒇 𝑩𝒂𝒏𝒊 𝑬𝒍𝒆𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒂𝒓𝒚 𝑺𝒄𝒉𝒐𝒐𝒍.

The activity provided an opportunity to evaluate the program’s implementation, recognize commendable practices, and identify areas that require further enhancement.

Coto High School proudly supports Global Handwashing Day, promoting proper handwashing with soap and clean water to prevent diseases and protect the health of every Cotonian.

As Coto High School kicks off National School Safety Week, the school community reaffirms its commitment to fostering an environment free from bullying, violence, discrimination, and abuse.

In line with DepEd's advocacy for learner protection, this observance calls for greater awareness of safety risks inside and outside the classroom, including the dangers that may arise in online spaces. Through shared responsibility, compassion, and vigilance, we can create a learning environment where every learner feels accepted, protected, and encouraged to reach their full potential.

MASINLOC, Zambales | Oktubre 12, 2026 — Ipinamalas ng mga batang mamamahayag ng Coto High School ang kanilang husay sa pamamahayag matapos makasungkit ng mga medalya sa katatapos lamang na 𝑴𝒖𝒏𝒊𝒄𝒊𝒑𝒂𝒍 𝑺𝒄𝒉𝒐𝒐𝒍𝒔 𝑷𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒔 𝑪𝒐𝒏𝒇𝒆𝒓𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆 (𝑴𝑺𝑷𝑪) 2026 na ginanap sa Masinloc Training Center, Masinloc, Zambales. Dahil sa kanilang natatanging pagganap, nakamit ng mga kalahok ang pagkakataong makatungtong sa susunod na antas ng kompetisyon, ang 𝑫𝒊𝒗𝒊𝒔𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝑺𝒄𝒉𝒐𝒐𝒍𝒔 𝑷𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒔 𝑪𝒐𝒏𝒇𝒆𝒓𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆 (𝑫𝑺𝑷𝑪) 2026.

Pinangunahan ni 𝗗𝗮𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗮 𝗝𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗢. 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗮, mag-aaral sa Baitang 12, ang tagumpay ng paaralan matapos masungkit ang 𝗨𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗚𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗹𝗮 𝘀𝗮 𝗣𝗮𝗴𝘀𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁 𝗻𝗴 𝗟𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗶𝗻. Ipinamalas niya ang husay sa pagbuo ng makabuluhan at kapana-panabik na salaysay na nagtatampok sa lalim ng pagsusuri at pagkamalikhain sa pagsulat.

Hindi rin nagpahuli si 𝗥𝗲𝘇𝗲𝗹 𝗝𝗼𝘆 𝗧. 𝗗𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗴, mag-aaral sa Baitang 9, na nagkamit ng 𝗨𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗚𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗹𝗮 𝘀𝗮 𝗣𝗮𝗴𝘀𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁 𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗮. Patunay ito ng kanyang kakayahang maglahad ng mga napapanahon, makatotohanan, at mahahalagang impormasyon sa paraang malinaw at obhetibo.

Samantala, nakamit naman ni 𝗝𝗮𝘆𝗱𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗵 𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻 𝗕𝗼𝗰𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗼, mag-aaral sa Baitang 11, ang 𝗜𝗸𝗮𝗹𝗮𝘄𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝘄𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗮 𝗣𝗮𝗴𝗴𝘂𝗵𝗶𝘁 𝗻𝗴 𝗞𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗮𝗻𝗴-𝗲𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆𝗮𝗹, na lalo pang nagdagdag sa karangalan ng paaralan.

Labis ang kagalakan at pagmamalaki ng kanilang mga gurong tagapagsanay na sina Bb. Ann Dominic Batnag-Picazo at Bb. Rona Jane Miranda sa ipinamalas na dedikasyon, pagsisikap, at kahusayan ng kanilang mga mag-aaral. Ang tagumpay na ito ay bunga ng sama-samang paghahanda, patuloy na paggabay, at pagsasanay upang malinang ang kakayahan ng mga batang mamamahayag.

Bilang paghahanda sa nalalapit na DSPC 2026 na nakatakdang ganapin sa Nobyembre, puspusan na ang pagsasanay ng mga kwalipikadong kalahok upang higit pang hasain ang kanilang kakayahan sa pamamahayag at maipamalas ang kanilang pinakamahusay na pagganap sa susunod na yugto ng kompetisyon.
