Matalom Municipal Police Station, under the leadership of PLT MAVERICK ALLAN C CANLAS, OIC, conducted Oplan Bandilyo at the Matalom Public Terminal, Brgy. Sto. Niño, Matalom, Leyte, to strengthen public awareness on the Rules and Regulations as Directed by the DILG Secretary, SAFE Eastern Visayas 911, Seguridad laban sa iba’t ibang uri ng krimen and Robbery/ Theft incident.

Matalom MPS reminded the public to remain vigilant, uphold discipline, protect women and children from abuse, promote a bully-free community, and immediately call 911 in case of emergencies.
Together, let us build a safer, more informed, and peaceful Matalom.

Dialogue and Distribution of IEC Materials
November 3, 2026

Personnel of Matalom MPS, under the leadership of PLT MAVERICK ALLAN C CANLAS, OIC, conducted dialogue and distribution of IEC Materials at Matalom, Leyte.

During the activity, personnel disseminated information through distribution of flyers on Anti-Cybercrime Law, Safe Spaces Act (RA 11313), Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act (RA 7610), Crime prevention tips, Rules and Regulation as directed by DILG secretary; SAFE EV 911; Seguridad laban sa iba’t ibang uri ng Krimen and Robbery/ Theft incident.

The activity aimed to enhance students' awareness of the students' protection laws, promote responsible behavior, strengthen crime prevention awareness, and reinforce the partnership between the PNP and the school community in maintaining a safe and secure learning environment.

Mobile Patrol and Police Presence
November 3, 2026

Personnel of the Matalom Municipal Police Station, under the supervision of PLT MAVERICK ALLAN C CANLAS, OIC, conducted mobile patrol operations in the area of responsibility to enhance police visibility and community engagement.

This initiative aligns with the Philippine National Police’s Enhanced Managing Police Operations Strategy and Anti-Criminality Campaign, which aims to deter criminal activities and maintain peace and order in the community.

The activity aimed to deter criminal activities, ensure compliance with traffic laws and regulations, prevent the transport of illegal fi****ms and contraband, and promote the safety and security of motorists and the general public.
