This is one of the many reasons why we keep encouraging everyone to have your pets microchipped; a permanent, non-removable, non-transferable, digital ID that would keep the necessary information of you and your pet/s.

Pet Registration is mandatory by law and would be very helpful for accountability, in border control for animal diseases, and in reunification in times of disasters.
