The AlengPulis Cybersquad of the Women and Children Cybercrime Protection Unit (WCCPU) rescued three male minors identified by their aliases "Tino," 16; "Iboy," 15; and "Prince," 14, from online exploitation on March 30, 2026, at 2:15 PM in Tondo, Manila.

This is in connection with the follow-up rescue operation conducted on March 3, 2026, by the operatives, wherein a minor victim, alias "Wowie," was successfully rescued. During the interview, โ€œWowieโ€ disclosed that other children were being victims of exploitation by offering and selling CSAEM.

The three minor victims were immediately turned over to District 1, Manila Department of Social Welfare Office, for psychological assessment, evaluation, and counseling.

Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., Chief of the Philippine National Police (PNP), underscored the urgency of a more proactive and coordinated approach and directed the intensified enforcement of cybercrime laws, with particular emphasis on strengthening measures to protect children from online sexual abuse and exploitation.

PBGEN Wilson C. Asueta, Acting Director of the PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group, commended the WCCPU AlengPulis Cybersquad for the successful rescue operation. He stated, โ€œThe protection of children from online abuse is one of our foremost priorities. The PNP ACG, in coordination with partner agencies, will continue to strengthen efforts to safeguard the rights and welfare of the children.โ€

On March 31, 2026 at about 6:45 PM in Quezon City, operatives of the Women and Children Cybercrime Protection Unit (WCCPU), together with the operatives of Digital Forensic Unit (DFU), Cyber Patrolling Intelligence Unit (CPIU) and Quezon City District Anti-Cybercrime Team (QCDACT), and in coordination with Quezon City Social Services Development Department (SSDD) implemented a Warrant to Search, Seize, and Examine Computer Data (WSSECD) inside a residence owned by an allegedly child sexual exploiter wich resulted in the rescue of the two minors, who are biological children of the subjects individuals, and three children-at risks.

The rescued minor victims were turned over to the Social Services Development Department of Quezon City for psychological assessment, evaluation, and counseling. While the seized items will be brought to the PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group for off-site examination and for possible case build-up.

PBGEN Wilson C. Asueta, Acting Director of the PNP ACG, lauded the operatives for their successful operation and implementation of the cyber warrant. โ€œThe efforts of the PNP ACG serve as a strong message to those who misuse technology to exploit others. We encourage the public to stay vigilant and report any types of cybercrimes to ensure prompt action against perpetrators,โ€ he stated.

The Philippine National Police Anti-Cybercrime Group (PNP ACG) recorded significant accomplishments in the First Quarter of 2026 as it intensified its efforts to combat cyber-related offenses involving women and children.

From January to March 2026, the PNP ACG AlengPulis Cybersquad conducted a total of 92 operations nationwide involving online sexual abuse of women and children. These operations included 37 entrapment operations, 19 services of warrants of arrest, 27 rescue operations, and 9 implementations of Warrants to Search, Seize, and Examine Computer Data (WSSECD).

These operations led to the successful arrest of 48 individuals and the rescue of 69 women and children who were victims of online sexual abuse and exploitation.

Likewise, this Group demonstrated its commitment to justice and victim protection by successfully referring a total of 81 cases to the courtsโ€”50 through regular filing and 31 via inquest proceedings.

These concerted efforts led to the successful conviction of two offenders, and provided 16 Technical Assistance to various PNP units to support their investigations, reinforcing the Groupโ€™s resolve to hold perpetrators accountable and uphold the rights and welfare of vulnerable sectors.

Meanwhile, Police Brigadier General Wilson C. Asueta, Acting Director of the PNP ACG, commended the AlengPulis Cybersquad for their dedication to protecting women and children and emphasized the need to sustain these efforts.

In celebration of National Womenโ€™s Month 2026, PCOL Mary Ivy E. Salazar, Chief of the Administrative and Resource Management Division (ARMD), together with other female personnel of the PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group (ACG), actively participated in a Zumba dance session held at Sosa Hall, 6th Floor of the ACG Building, Camp Rafael T. Crame, Quezon City.

The activity aimed to promote physical fitness, wellness, and camaraderie among personnel. Through energetic dance routines and coordinated movements, the participants enjoyed a refreshing break from their regular duties while strengthening team spirit and encouraging a healthy lifestyle within the workplace.

According to PBGEN Wilson Asueta, Acting Director of the PNP ACG, โ€œThe wellness of our women personnel remains one of the top priorities, particularly in safeguarding their morale and overall well-being.
