The Department of Budget and Management (DBM) joins the Supreme Court of the Philippines in the observance of Judiciary Month pursuant to Presidential Proclamation No. 1265, s. 2026, in commemoration of its 125th Anniversary.
Established on June 11, 1901 through Act No. 136 of the Philippine Commission, the Supreme Court has stood as a pillar of justice, safeguarding constitutional rights and upholding the rule of law for over a century, ensuring the fair and impartial administration of justice.
With the theme, “SC: 125 Years of Tradition and Innovation,” the Court unveils a series of activities commemorating this milestone.

IN PHOTOS: Department of Budget and Management (DBM) Undersecretary and Chief Information Officer Maria Francesca M. Del Rosario served as a panelist during the Cybersecurity segment of the Business Resiliency Forum 2026 (BRF 2026) held on April 29.
As more services, transactions, and information move online, cybersecurity has become a critical part of ensuring that organizations can operate safely, efficiently, and without disruption. The forum gathered leaders from various sectors to discuss how institutions can respond to increasingly complex cyber threats while maintaining trust and reliability in the digital age.
During the discussion, Usec. Del Rosario shared insights on strengthening cyber resilience and integrating cybersecurity into broader efforts to ensure business continuity, protect critical data, and sustain public confidence in digital systems.
The event, organized by the IT and Business Process Association of the Philippines (IBPAP), underscored the importance of collaboration among government, industry, and technology leaders in building a secure and resilient digital future.

Open government works best when government and citizens work together. 🤝
: During the celebration of Open Government Week 2026, the Department of Budget and Management–Cordillera Administrative Region (DBM-CAR) strengthened partnerships with local government units, civil society organizations, and community leaders to advance transparency, accountability, and meaningful citizen participation across the region.
Civil society groups including the Outstanding Students of the Cordillera Administrative Region (OSCAR) Alumni Community, the Council for the Restoration of Filipino Values (CRFV), and the Pansigedan Advocacy Cooperative reaffirmed their support for open governance, emphasizing the importance of accessible information, active citizen engagement, and stronger collaboration between government and communities.
DBM-CAR also conducted an Open Government Partnership (OGP) briefing and introduced Project “Maila,” a collaborative initiative with the Municipality of Sablan and partner CSOs that aims to help ensure that public funds translate into visible and meaningful results for communities through the use of digital dashboards and scorecards.
A major milestone of the celebration was the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement among DBM-CAR, DILG-CAR, CRFV, and the OSCAR Alumni Community, formalizing their commitment to work together in localizing open government reforms and bringing participatory governance closer to communities.
Through stronger partnerships, community engagement, and innovative transparency initiatives, Open Government Week 2026 highlighted a shared vision for a more open, inclusive, and responsive government—one where citizens are not just beneficiaries of programs, but active partners in governance.

This June 2026, the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) joins the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) in celebrating National ICT Month with the theme “Isang Dekadang Digital: Konektado sa Puso at Serbisyo.”
In line with the agency’s 10th anniversary, this year’s ICT Month celebrates a decade of enhanced connectivity, stronger cybersecurity, and faster and more inclusive digital public service—all aimed at ensuring that no Filipino is left behind in the country’s digital transformation journey.

: The Department of Budget and Management Regional Office XII (DBM RO XII) continues to strengthen fiscal discipline, accountability, and better public service through the FY 2025 Annual Agency Performance Review Conference held in Koronadal City on March 10, 12, and 16, 2026.
Led by Regional Director Akmad J. Usman, the conference brought together regional agencies and institutions to assess accomplishments, identify operational challenges, and improve budget and project implementation across Region XII.
The activity served as a platform for collaboration, shared learning, and practical solutions to strengthen government performance.
Representatives from the health, education, infrastructure, technical-vocational, and higher education sectors openly discussed key issues affecting implementation, including procurement delays, funding bottlenecks, project adjustments, and documentation concerns.
DBM RO XII reaffirmed its commitment to providing technical assistance and policy support to help agencies address operational hurdles and improve overall fiscal performance.

Department of Budget and Management (DBM) Undersecretary and Chief Information Officer Maria Francesca M. Del Rosario highlighted how digital innovation is helping government become faster, smarter, and more transparent for every Filipino at the inaugural GCash Gearing Up for Regulation With Meaning (GRWM) Brownbag Session on May 21, 2026.
At the center of this transformation is the Budget and Treasury Management System (BTMS), a modern platform that streamlines budget and treasury operations across government agencies as part of the broader Integrated Financial Management Information System (IFMIS). Together, these systems strengthen accountability, improve data accuracy, and help ensure that public funds are managed more efficiently.
Usec. Del Rosario also showcased the continuing impact of Project DIME, which brings a new level of transparency and accountability to government project implementation through the use of satellites and drones to monitor major infrastructure projects in real time.
As the government continues its digital transformation journey, strong collaboration with the private sector remains key to building a more connected, innovative, and digitally inclusive .
