The 51st Gawad Saka Regional Awarding Ceremony marked a proud moment for the coconut industry as Mr. Ramon R. Rasco of Libas, Banga, Aklan was recognized as the Outstanding Coconut Farmer of PCA Region VI.

With 40 years of farming experience, Mr. Ramon R. Rasco exemplifies dedication, innovation, and sustainable agriculture. His journey is reflected in St. Rafael Organic Farm, a thriving 2-hectare integrated organic farm in Libas, Banga, Aklan.

A Legacy of Service and Farming.
A former Nursery Supervisor of the Philippine Coconut Authority – Aklan, Mr. Rasco brings extensive experience in farming and animal husbandry, which continues to shape his approach to sustainable and diversified agriculture.

Diversified and Integrated Agriculture.
Beyond quality coconut production, St. Rafael Organic Farm features a wide variety of crops, including dragon fruit, pineapple, vanilla, ginger, and vegetables. The farm also integrates animal production, raising fish, chickens, ducks, goats, and rabbits.

Sustainable Innovation.
The farm practices organic and environmentally responsible agriculture by converting organic plant waste into valuable fertilizer and animal feed through the use of a rotary composter and shredder.

His achievement is more than an individual award; it is a milestone for PCA Western Visayas and a testament to the dedication of our coconut farmers and the continuing work of PCA to advance a stronger, more sustainable coconut industry.

👏 Congratulations, Mr. Ramon R. Rasco and the PCA Aklan Provincial Office!
