BUAYAHON, SANTA BARBARA, ILOILO | October 30, 2026 — The Sangguniang Barangay of Buayahon facilitated the cheque release for student-beneficiaries of the Bawat Barangay Makikinabang Presidential Scholarship Program this morning at the Barangay Buayahon Hall.
The initiative aims to provide financial assistance to eligible Filipino college students to help cover school-related expenses and promote greater access to higher education. Under the program each qualified scholar is entitled to ₱20,000 in educational assistance, with participating barangays supporting to five Presidential Scholars.
The program forms part of the government's efforts to bring educational assistance closer to communities and help deserving students pursue their academic goals despite financial challenges.
Through this initiative, the Sangguniang Barangay of Buayahon reaffirms its commitment to supporting educational opportunities and promoting the welfare of student-beneficiaries in the community.
The activity reflects the importance of collaboration between the government and local communities in ensuring that educational support reaches eligible students and contributes to a brighter future for the Filipino youth.
