The Local Government Unit of Santo Tomas, led by Municipal Mayor Engr. Severino C. Carbonell, joins the country in celebrating the Indigenous Peoples (IP) Month and National IP Thanksgiving Day today, October 29, 2026. This is in compliance with the DILG Region I Memorandum and Sangguniang Panlalawigan Resolution No. 2970-2026.

To show our support, our local government employees proudly wore IP-inspired traditional attire and integrated indigenous designs into their office garments.

📊 LA UNION’S ECONOMY CONTINUES TO GROW!

The Local Government Unit of Santo Tomas, La Union is pleased to share the latest highlights from the 2025 Provincial Product Accounts (PPA) of La Union.

📈 La Union’s economy grew by 4.3% in 2025, reaching a Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of ₱139.99 billion, from ₱134.22 billion in 2024.

Other key highlights include:

🔹 Per Capita GDP: ₱169,086
🔹 Services: 57.9% of the provincial economy
🔹 Industry: 34.4%
🔹 Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing: 7.7%
🔹 Per Capita GDP growth: 4.1% from 2024 to 2025

These figures provide valuable insights into the economic performance of La Union and the different sectors contributing to the province’s continued growth.
