Novo Nordisk Pakistan, in collaboration with the Embassy of Denmark, held an event ‘Weight of Perfection’ in Islamabad to highlight the expectations and challenges that women face.

The session included a panel discussion on ‘Why trying hard is the answer to weight management’. The panelists spoke about recognising obesity as a chronic disease and urging individuals to prioritise their health by seeking support from an HCP. The conversation also touched upon the struggles women experience in weight management due to their hormonal and metabolic shifts.

The event was attended by notable officials from key institutions.

In Denmark, cycling isn’t just a hobby - it’s part of everyday life. Come rain, shine, or snow, Danes pedal their way to work, the grocery store, social events, and even on vacations! 🇩🇰🚲

At the Danish Embassy in Pakistan, we’re proud to bring a bit of that cycling culture here too. Our staff use embassy bikes to run errands, attend meetings, or grab a quick lunch 💼🥗

We already see many passionate cyclists in Pakistan 🇵🇰 - and together, we can go even further! 🚴‍♂️

🎉 Celebrating 80 Years of the United Nations 🇺🇳

80 years ago - on 24 October - the UN was founded - born from the hope of a world united in peace, equality and cooperation 🌏

Denmark was proud to stand among the founding members in 1945, and we remain committed to the same vision today.

Over eight decades, the UN has helped lift millions out of poverty, protected human rights, and brought countries together to solve global challenges.

From peace and security to climate action and human rights, Denmark works hand-in-hand with UN agencies across the world – and right here in Pakistan, the Danish Embassy collaborates with all UN partners to advance these shared goals 🇩🇰🇵🇰

As both Denmark and Pakistan are currently non-permanent members of the UN Security Council (2025-2026) , and as the world faces new crises, we must keep that spirit of unity alive. Together, we can build a safer, fairer and more sustainable future for all 💪
