A Momentous Day at GDC Sherwan
Today, on 31 October 2026 the inauguration of the Botanical Garden of GDC Sherwan and a Career Counselling Seminar were organized. The events were graced by the the presence of worthy Principal GDC Sherwan, Prof Sardar Tahir Alam and Prof Dr Rustam Ali, Associate Professor of English, HOD English Department, GPGC Mandian Abbottabad and the Executive member of the Monitoring Committee JMC Abbottabad.
At first, Prof Dr Rustam Ali inaugurated the Botanical Garden and really appreciated the efforts of Prof Shujat Ali under whose supervision the garden really went into an enormous transformation.
Afterwards, a seminar was conducted on Career Counselling for AD English And AD Pakistan Studies' students. Prof Dr. Rustam addressed the audience and informed the students and the faculty about plethora of opportunities for academics and job opportunities within the country and abroad as well. Moreover, the personal journey of Prof Rustam Ali from joining Air Force and serving for 17 years, then pursuing Higher Education, joining the Higher Education Department and eventually PhD and other active academic activities really inspired the students. His perseverance, persistence and hardwork really motivated the students to utilize their full potential and achieve their goals.
GDC Sherwan is really thankful for Prof Rustam Ali for his valuable time.
