🎖️ Honouring Our Long-Serving Public Officers

The Ministry proudly celebrated a special milestone as three of our longest-serving members were recognised for their outstanding dedication and commitment to the Public Service during a Long Service Recognition Ceremony for Public Service Week 2026 presided over by the President of the Republic of Seychelles, Dr. Patrick Herminie, at the ICCS. The ceremony was also attended by Minister Eveline Rose and PS Vicky

🌟 Miss Monica Samson – Office Manager, Cascade District Administration Office, joined the Public Service on 7 February 1986. Throughout her career, she has served in various administrative and office management roles. Miss Samson described the recognition as a wonderful initiative that motivates employees and encourages long-term commitment to public service.
🌟 Mr. Dan Frichot – Joined the Public Service on 1 March 1986 and has dedicated decades of service to the Ministry, serving in various roles up to Special Advisor in the Office of the Minister. Fondly known as the Ministry’s “encyclopedia,” Mr. Frichot expressed his gratitude to all those who supported him throughout his career. He also shared an inspiring message with the younger generation, encouraging them to work hard, remain dedicated, and serve the nation with integrity.
🌟 Ms. Cecile Decommarmond – Director General for Human Resources and Budget Management, joined the Public Service on 1 February 1984. From her early days in secretarial positions to leading the Ministry’s Human Resources function, she has built a remarkable career founded on care, empathy, professionalism, and excellence. She encouraged all public officers to continue serving with commitment, passion, and respect for the people they serve.
On behalf of the Ministry, we extend our heartfelt congratulations to our three distinguished award recipients. Their decades of dedicated service have made a lasting contribution to our Ministry and to the people of Seychelles.
