Through our AMS Senior House Cleaning initiative, we provide weekly house cleaning support to ensure our seniors live in a clean, safe, and comfortable home environment. For many seniors living alone, maintaining a home can be physically challenging. Cluttered or unclean environments may increase the risk of falls, affect hygiene, and impact their overall well being. A clean and organised space creates a safer environment, reduces stress, and allows them to live more comfortably.

At Cheng Hong Welfare Service Society, we support our elderly in living with dignity and care.

Our volunteers go beyond cleaning. They bring warmth, companionship, and care into every home they visit, ensuring our elderly feel respected, supported, and not alone. Recently, Cheng Hong Welfare Service Society (CHWSS) received an urgent call from a Hospital to support both Malay/Muslim family who had just lost a loved one. Amid their grief, they were overwhelmed and uncertain about the necessary funeral arrangements.

Upon receiving the call, our team immediately stepped in to help.
Our staff responded swiftly, coordinating the required arrangements while ensuring that all Islamic rites and customs were fully respected. From liaising with relevant parties to providing on-the-ground support, the team worked closely with the family every step of the way. This assistance was provided on a pro bono basis, easing the family’s financial burden during an already difficult time.

At CHWSS, we serve with compassion and without discrimination, regardless of race or religion. Every life deserves dignity, and every family deserves support in their time of loss.
