Visited the Ubin Thai temple today and was glad to see the event still ongoing.

While browsing the amulet booth, I spotted a Kuman Thong and immediately felt drawn to it. Without any hesitation, I decided to bring him home.

A beautiful piece that had been abandoned by its previous owner, but perhaps fate had other plans. I have decided to adopt and care for him from now on.

This is the 1st Batch Kuman Thong Kao Kot 2558 from Kruba Chaichana of Wat Phuttha Ariya Rangsi. Made 599 pieces. Luang Phor Goy - Wat Khao Din Tai was invited for the blessing ceremony.

This batch was specially consecrated to raise funds for the construction of a Buddha statue and the building of a crematorium, making it a meaningful and meritorious edition.

Sometimes, amulets do not choose their owners by chance. Perhaps this meeting was meant to be.

Sad news on this sacred Vesak Day. Luang Phor Boon Sophano has peacefully passed away at the age of 95 on 31 May 2569.

Luang Phor Boon was a renowned and highly respected monk, particularly known for his amulets and compassion. He was born on 12th February 2474, in Ban Nong Muang, Phanat Nikhom District, Chonburi Province. He was ordained by Luang Phor Do - Wat Namatutoom as his preceptor. He was a monk who was eager to learn and went on ascetic journeys to become a disciple of many famous teachers, such as Luang Phor Seng - Wat Prachantakham, Luang Phor Eia - Wat Ban Dan, and Luang Phor Kong - Wat Wang Sapparot. His dedication was such that even Luang Phor Klai - Wat Suan Khan once praised his conduct and Buddhist magic.

His life was dedicated to the Dhamma, guiding countless devotees with compassion, wisdom, and loving-kindness. He adopted and teaches over 3000 orphans. His teachings and blessings will continue to inspire generations to come. With Luang Phor Boon kindness, compassion, and empathy,

May Luang Phor attain the highest bliss and peace. Though his physical presence is no longer with us, his legacy will remain forever in the hearts of those whose lives he touched.

“The body is impermanent, but the merits and virtues cultivated throughout a lifetime endure.”

- Biography of Luang Phor Teuang -

Luang Phor Teuang Techapanyo was born on June 2467, in Laem Po village, Koh Kong Province, Cambodia.

Luang Phor Teuang was ordained as a monk at the age of 22 in 2589 under Luang Phor Rod - Wat Morakaram, Koh Kong Province, Cambodia, a renowned master of Buddhist magic and amulets of that time.

He studied Buddhist scriptures and various magical arts until he became proficient. However, due to various problems within the country at that time, coupled with the responsibility of supporting his impoverished family, he requested to leave the monastic life and return to secular life. Due to unforeseen circumstances, he had to travel to Thailand in August 2518, at the age of 51. He settled in Ban Mai Rood, Khlong Yai District, Trat Province.

In 2530, at the age of 63, feeling that his family and children were self-sufficient and no longer a cause for concern, he decided to return to the monastic life. He was ordained by Phra Luang Phor Lian of Wat Koh Kapi, Koh Kong Province, Cambodia, and resided at Wat Laem Po (Uthaiyaram), Koh Kong Province, Cambodia, his birthplace, for 10 years.

During his time at Wat Laem Po, he used the magical knowledge he had learned from his teachers to create amulets (takrut) which he distributed to his devotees and the villagers at Laem Po for protection. Many miraculous experiences of protection and safety occurred.

Luang Phor Teuang was a monk overflowing with compassion and possessing exemplary conduct, which impressed all who met him. His reputation spread widely in both Thailand and Cambodia, leading some to call him "The Master Monk of Two Lands: Thailand and Cambodia," a title he held from the past to the present day.
