The #Agropreneur project is designed to reach, teach and support #Agribusiness #Students, particularly young women who are away from their island home.
Prepared to grow is a project designed to support, educate and encourage student entrepreneurs. The project was conceptualized by Candace Brathwaite, former lecturer of the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine campus. While on campus, Ms. Brathwaite authored a proposal to offer a minor in Entrepreneurship to science and agriculture students. This proposal was approved and the minor in Entrepreneurship, including her flagship course New Venture Creation, is still taught today.
