🚨 Free Smoke Alarms Available for More Residents! 🚨

Great news! The Altamont Fire Department is expanding its smoke alarm program and is now offering free smoke alarms to homeowners in Mount Pleasant Township, in addition to residents within the City of Altamont.

If you are a homeowner and need working smoke alarms in your home, please call the City Office at 620-784-5612 to be added to the installation list.

🔥 Members of the Altamont/Mount Pleasant Fire Department will schedule a time to visit your residence and install the smoke alarms free of charge.

🏠 Renters: Please have your landlord contact the City Office to request smoke alarms on your behalf.

Working smoke alarms save lives. Help protect your family and home by ensuring your smoke alarms are properly installed and functioning.

✅ Payments are automatically withdrawn from your bank account on the 9th of each month (or the next business day if the 9th falls on a weekend or holiday).

The Altamont/Mount Pleasant Fire Department hosted Altamont Grade School in Fire Prevention Week. This year they added the middle school students recognizing they may be responsible for younger siblings. 🚒🦅
