Excited to have Glenn Horr of as our demonstrator for Spring Fling.
Glenn Horr has been creating hand-forged metalwork since 1977. In 1984, he moved to Berkeley Springs, WV, and established Highland Forge. www.glennsforge.com
His journey began in a high school shop class, where he discovered a fascination with metals and forging. Largely self-taught, Glenn has continued honing his craft through workshops and national blacksmithing conferences.
Using traditional techniques, Glenn forges both functional and decorative work in steel, copper, brass, bronze, and aluminum. He loves the paradox of metal—so rigid in one form, yet yielding gracefully to hammer and anvil when heated.
Known for his attention to detail and fine craftsmanship, Glenn has been commissioned for architectural projects, as well as marketing his work through juried craft shows and galleries. His creations range from fireplace tools and door hardware, to railings, gates, kitchen utensils, and even ecclesiastical work for churches.
For more than 20 years, Glenn has also shared his knowledge by teaching workshops at the Touchstone Center for Crafts and giving demonstrations at regional conferences.
Whether working with individuals, designers, or architects, Glenn continues to shape metal into pieces that combine beauty, function, and timeless craftsmanship
