Special Town Meeting will take place on Tuesday, November 10th at 7PM at Ashland High School. This meeting will also be livestreamed on WACA's Youtube Channel.

Childcare will be available through Ashland Recreation. Volunteers will be in the Ashland High School gym from 6:45-9:00 PM during the Fall Ashland Town Meeting to play games and make crafts with the kids. Please note that there is no food allowed in the gym, and water is the only beverage allowed. If your child is not feeling well we ask that you please keep them home.

The Ashland Select Board has begun the search for the Town’s next Town Manager. To support a thorough and comprehensive search process, the Board has engaged the Collins Center to assist with the recruitment and selection process.

The Select Board encourages community members to participate in upcoming public input sessions to share your thoughts.

The Ashland Select Board is inviting residents to apply to serve on the Town Manager Screening Committee. This is an opportunity to play a meaningful role in shaping the future of our community by helping identify the candidate who will lead our Town in the years ahead.

Working alongside the Collins Center, the consultant assisting the Select Board with the search, committee members will review applications, participate in preliminary interviews, and recommend finalists to the Select Board for consideration.

We encourage residents with a variety of backgrounds, professional experiences, and community perspectives to apply.

What Will the Committee Do?
-Review and evaluate applications from Town Manager candidates.
-Participate in preliminary candidate interviews.
-Recommend finalists to the Select Board for final interviews.

Meeting Schedule and Time Commitment:
Applicants MUST be available for the following meetings times and interview period.
Meetings below are scheduled from 6:30–8:30pm.
-December 3: Initial meeting and committee formation
-December 15: Finalize interview questions
-January 2: Receive candidate resumes
-January 5: Review resumes and select candidates for interviews

January 11–20: Conduct candidate interviews; specific dates and times to be determined

Sewer Rehabilitation Project - Beginning November 2nd. Work is scheduled Monday to Friday from 7AM to 4PM

As part of its continuing efforts to identify and remove extraneous flows into the Town’s sewer system, the Town of Ashland, Department of Public Works will be cleaning and televising the sewer system on the streets noted on our website.

This effort will be completed by Insituform, LLC under the direction of the Town’s engineering consultant, Haley Ward, Inc. The purpose of this work is to assess the sewer condition, identify groundwater infiltration sources, and prepare the sewer lines for further rehabilitation. Work is scheduled to resume November 2nd,2026 and continue for approximately 2–3 weeks, generally Monday through Friday between the hours of 7AM and 4PM.

Yard waste (grass & leaves) will be collected by Waste Management at curbside from residents that are enrolled in the Town’s solid waste removal program on the following dates:

Mondays, November 2, November 9, November 16 & November 23

Yard waste (leaves, grass clippings, rake-able materials) must be contained within barrels (clearly marked as “YARD WASTE”) or within brown paper yard waste collection bags and placed at curbside no later than 7am on the morning of collection. No branches, limbs, stumps or brush.
