Milestone has ended, or most of us should be wrapping it up. As you know, the GA milestone has made changes this year.

Such as math and ELA redesignes to align with the new standards.

The new updates cause students to engage in critical thinking, deeper comprehension, and real-world application with less memorization.

What are your thoughts?

With today’s climate surrounding DEI rollbacks and continued debates over voting rights protections, many Black Americans are asking difficult questions about responsibility, activism, protection, and emotional fatigue.

Some people feel:
✊🏾 We must continue protesting, organizing, and protecting the progress our ancestors fought for.

Others feel:
🖤 Exhausted from constantly having to fight for rights, representation, and equality while systems continue to shift.

And some are asking:
🤔 Why does the responsibility always seem to fall on Black communities to save democracy, advocate, and mobilize?

These conversations are emotional, layered, and very real.

How are we feeling today toward this subject? 👇🏾

Gov. Kemp signed HB 1193, the Early Literacy Act of 2026.

Only 38% of 3rd graders are reading proficiently.

Other notable changes include:
📚Math improvements
💥Banning all electronic devices

Looks like Georgia has started looking at those countries with higher literacy rates to see what they are doing differently.

🎯 Early Literacy Development
🎯Support for reading
🎯 Public Funding & Teacher Quality

Let’s talk about it 👇🏾

I never place my opinions on others. I am a firm believer in « Your Journey , Your life « .
So on Friday, I was volunteentold lol to create a presentation to present to parents of Dekalb County about the dangers of Takis since there has been an uptick of gastritis and upset stomachs.

I love providing information about health and wellness so I jumped at the opportunity.
I hope to hold classes with parents to educate about health and wellness, nutrition and ways to gain access to organic food.

is power
