Happy Halloween from the Richmond County Marshal’s Office!!!

As ghosts and goblins take to the streets this Halloween, the Richmond County Marshal’s Office reminds everyone to stay safe and have fun! Here are a few simple tips to help make this spooky night a safe one for all:

🟣 For Trick-or-Treaters:
Walk on sidewalks and use crosswalks — never cut across yards or streets.
Carry a flashlight or glow stick to stay visible.
Only visit well-lit homes and never go inside a stranger’s house.
Make sure costumes fit properly to avoid trips and falls.

🟠 For Drivers:
Stay alert and slow down in neighborhoods.
Watch for children crossing the street — they may move unpredictably.
Put your phone down and stay focused on the road.

🟢 For Parents:
Check all treats before letting children enjoy them.
Add reflective tape to costumes for extra visibility.
Remind kids not to eat unwrapped treats from strangers.

Let’s work together to keep our community safe, clean, and full of smiles this Halloween.
