As Transfer Student week comes to a close, we have one more student for you!

Barbara Wilkins, B.A. ’24, an MBA student, gets to share her alma mater with her son and husband. Now, all three have earned a degree at UBalt and Barbara is working on another.

Barbara first considered nursing when she was studying at Baltimore City Community College. She ended up changing her plans a few times but was steadfast on choosing UBalt. It has an important connection in her family and became a place where she met so many more people invaluable to her growth and joy.

“I love the UBalt environment,” she said. “I love the organizations I’m a part of, I love the people I’ve met, and I just enjoy being in that atmosphere. It’s an atmosphere where I can grow, where people have like-minded ideas, and they’re trying to grow as well.” UBalt Admission 💙🐝

Meet our next Transfer Student as we continue Transfer Student Week!

Growing up in India, Sabrina Noble Pereira, B.A. ’25, decided she wanted a career where she could help those who couldn’t help themselves. Education was her strongest pathway.

Sabrina transferred to UBalt from Community College of Baltimore County. After earning her degree in Legal Studies, she was accepted to UBalt School of Law, bringing to fruition a dream long in the making.

“I just realized that helping people, no matter what, is where my passion was,” she said.

From student organization participation to global field studies, Sabrina has enjoyed a diverse array of opportunities that have shaped her overall college experience and prepared her for the future she wants—and it all started with a transfer decision. We’re continuing the celebration of our Transfer students, and next up we have Nes Agopome!

Nes Agopome, B.A. in Psychology, was finding her way at Frederick Community College when she met a professor who also taught at—and graduated from—UBalt. Encouraged, Nes applied. Then Nes found out she qualified for a full scholarship. UBalt became the best decision she didn’t see coming.

“With Dr. [Josh] Davis and the honors program, some of the people I’ve met in my classes, people here care more than I anticipated them to. And I feel like when I walk down the street, I recognize people, people recognize me, and it’s been easier to network.”  UBalt Admission
