Happy Thursday! Let’s kick this Thursday off by a big birthday celebration! Today, OKH celebrates someone who truly embodies what it means to be a TEAM PLAYER, Mr. Tim Brown, Math LEADer.

Whether Mr. Brown is teaching math, stepping in to cover a classroom, or lending a helping hand wherever it is needed, he consistently goes above and beyond to support the students and staff of OKH. His flexibility, willingness to help, and dedication to making OKH the best it can be never go unnoticed!

But what makes Mr. Brown truly special is his genuine heart for students. He understands that education is about so much more than academics. It is about building relationships, creating connections, and making sure EVERY student feels seen, valued, and included. His kind spirit, welcoming attitude, and approachable personality help make OKH a place where everyone feels they belong.

Mr. Brown is the kind of person who never hesitates to step up, lend a hand, or do whatever it takes to make someone's day a little easier. His selflessness and commitment to others are just a few of the many reasons OKH is fortunate to have him as part of our Wildcat family!

Happy Birthday Mr. Brown! Thank you for being someone our students can count on, the OkH staff can depend on, and our entire school community can appreciate. OKH hopes your day is filled with the same kindness and joy you bring to OKH each and every day! Happy Birthday! Enjoy your day!

Happy Wednesday! Today is a great day to shout out a big ole Happy Birthday to an AMAZING LEADer, Mrs. Cassidy Ferguson, Science LEADer.

Science is so much more than a subject, and Mrs. Ferguson works diligently to help students discover just how deeply science is woven into every part of our everyday lives! Her passion for sharing her knowledge is contagious, and she strives to spark curiosity, inspire discovery, and help students see the world through a whole new lens!

Mrs. Ferguson’s impact reaches far beyond the science classroom! She understands that meaningful learning begins with meaningful relationships. She takes the time to truly KNOW her students, creating an environment where every student feels SAFE, SEEN, VALUED, and a true sense of BELONGING.

Her dedication doesn't stop with her own students. She is always willing to lend a helping hand, support other LEADers and do whatever it takes to make OKH a better place for EVERYONE! Her commitment to OKH is a true reflection of her heart and dedication to OKH.

OKH is incredibly grateful for the passion, kindness, knowledge, and dedication Mrs. Ferguson brings to OKH each and every day! We hope your birthday is filled with as much joy and appreciation as you bring to those around you!

Happy Sunday! Today we want to start this beautiful Sunday celebrating a LEADer. Happy Birthday to one of the caring hearts behind OKH, Mrs. Lisa Nall, school counselor.

Some of the most important lessons students learn aren't found in textbooks, but through the guidance, encouragement, and compassion of someone who truly cares. We are incredibly fortunate to have Mrs. Nall who pours her heart into helping students navigate life's challenges, prioritize their mental health, and develop healthy ways to cope with the everyday struggles that come their way.

Whether Mrs. Nall is lending a listening ear, offering words of encouragement, helping students find their way through difficult moments, or supporting fellow leaders, she consistently reminds those around her that they are seen, heard, and valued.

Behind the scenes, Mrs. Nall works to develop systems, organize schedules, and establish processes that help our school run smoothly and ensure students have the opportunities and support they need to be successful. Her dedication reaches far beyond her counseling office and touches nearly every corner! She understands that helping students succeed is not just about academics; it's about helping them grow into confident, resilient individuals who know they never have to face life's challenges alone.

Thank you Mrs. Nall for being a listening ear, a steady source of encouragement, a problem-solver, and an advocate for ALL students! Your dedication to making OKH a place where everyone belongs does not go unnoticed.

Happy Birthday Mrs. Lisa Nall! We hope your day is filled with as much kindness, joy, and appreciation as you bring to OKH every single day!

Happy Friday! We have some AMAZING students to celebrate today!

🎉 Big congratulations to OKHMS 6th graders Eddie Johnson and Thiago Flores for earning his Adult, Child, and Baby First Aid/CPR/AED certification through the American Red Cross! 🩸❤️

They achieved this incredible milestone thanks to the Launch College & Career Lab, led by Mrs. Essex. To think that 12-year-olds in middle school have the opportunity to gain life-saving, real-world skills like this is mind-blowing! 🌟

This achievement is a perfect example of the lengths Nelson County Schools are going to ensure our students can dream big and build a bright future right now.

Way to go, Eddie and Thiago! We are so proud of you! 👏

With the busy day yesterday, we forgot a very special LEADer’s birthday. OKH would like to wish a Happy late Birthday to Mrs. Shannon Jones, OKH ARC Chair.

Behind every successful student is a team of people who believe in their potential, advocate for their needs, and work tirelessly to help them succeed. We are so fortunate to have Mrs. Shannon Jones at OKH who does just that!

Through Mrs. Jones’ dedication to leading and facilitating ARC meetings, she also works diligently to ensure that every student has the tools, resources, support, and opportunities they need to thrive. Her heart for students shines through in her commitment to making sure every voice is heard, every need is considered, and every student has the opportunity to experience success both inside and outside the classroom.

Mrs. Jones understands that success looks different for every student, but every student deserves the opportunity to achieve greatness! Her compassion, attention to detail, and unwavering dedication to advocating for students make a lasting impact on our entire OKH community.

Thank you, Mrs. Jones for being a voice for students, a source of support for families and teachers, and a leader who reminds us daily that greatness begins when we believe in the potential of EVERY child!

OKH hopes you had the best birthday ever filled with all the love and care you show each of us every day. Happy late Birthday Mrs. Shannon Jones.
