Today, on National First Responders Day, Bayport-Blue Point students had the chance to say “thank you” directly to some of the people who help keep their community safe.💙

Representatives from the Suffolk County Police Department’s 5th Precinct, Bayport Fire Department, Blue Point Fire Department and Community Ambulance visited schools throughout the district as part of BBP’s third annual First Responders Day.

Students welcomed their special guests with handmade cards and messages of appreciation, while also getting the chance to meet and speak with local first responders.

Thank you to all of the first responders who spent time with our students today and for all you do for the Bayport-Blue Point community!

G&T Night Success - Thank you to everyone who joined us! 🌟

We had a fantastic turnout for our BBP Gifted and Talented Information Night on October 22! It was wonderful to connect with so many parents and guardians who are dedicated to unlocking their children's full potential.

The evening wasn't just about listening—our parents and guardians got to experience the learning firsthand! Attendees jumped right into hands-on STEM and enrichment activities, testing their engineering skills by building cup towers and measuring their structural success just like our students do.

During the event, we also covered:
➡ Program Overview: A look inside our unique Gifted & Talented curriculum and hands-on philosophy.
➡ Identification Process: How our screening and selection methods work.
➡ Enrichment Strategies: Practical tips and resources to help extend this type of creative problem-solving at home.

We truly appreciate your partnership and enthusiasm in inspiring, challenging, and supporting our amazing 4th and 5th grade students. Thank you for making the evening such a fun and collaborative success!

🎓 **Big Dreams. Bright Futures. Endless Possibilities!**

So much excitement at BBP’s College Fair! Our juniors and seniors had the opportunity to connect with representatives from colleges and universities, ask questions, explore their options, and begin envisioning the many possibilities that lie ahead.

Events like these open doors, inspire aspirations, and empower our students to take the next steps toward their dreams.

Thank you to all of the college representatives, staff, and everyone who helped make this event such a success. We are proud to support our students as they explore their futures and discover all that is possible!

**The future is bright at BBP!** 💛💙🎓

Blue Point Elementary’s second graders are putting their own touch on a brand-new sensory garden! 🌸

During their first Community Club meeting of the year, students got to work creating the outdoor space with hand-painted stones, sensory mats, mirrors, wind chimes, flags with positive messages , stepping stones and log seating.

The project was made possible through a generous donation from the Student Educational Enrichment and Development (SEED) Foundation and will serve as an outdoor counterpart to the school’s Zen Den, where students can take time to recharge.

There’s more to come, too! A bench and water feature will be added to the garden, followed by flowers planted by students in the spring.
