Short Line Demonstration Railroad in Belton, Missouri offering train rides using 1950's period equipment. But especially about railroad safety.

Running on a route originally laid down in 1872, the BG&KC works to educate people about rail travel and the arts and sciences of railroading. Offering a 45 minute round trip train ride, on a 1920's open window coach powered by a 1956 GP 9 Diesel/Electric locomotive. Experience what train travel was like on a small city line.

WHAT. A. DAY! 🛤 🚂

We are tired and a bit sore but we are so THANKFUL to everyone who came out and celebrated the Railroad Days with us yesterday. We'll be posting some more videos when we get more time so stay tuned.

Missed the event? You can still catch a regular season ride on Saturdays through the month of October.

Things are starting to wind down at the Belton Railroad Days but theres still another hour left for the $5 train rides! Come grab a bite to eat at the food trucks, let the kids jump in the bounce house, and take a stroll down our Main Street!
