The Shafer Sharks are off to a dominant 2-0 start this season, showcasing explosive offense and stingy defense in their first two games. The Sharks opened the year with a commanding 40-0 victory over Charles Boehm Middle School before following it up with a 34-7 win over Klinger Middle School, outscoring their opponents 74-7 through two contests.
Leading the offensive attack has been Yasir Watson, who has found the end zone an incredible 8 times in just two games, helping fuel the Sharks' high-powered offense. Defensively, Gabino Gonzalez has been a force, recording 12 tackles while consistently making key plays around the ball. In the secondary, Lucas McKinney (see photo below) has been a gamechanger with 2 interceptions, including one returned for a touchdown, providing a spark on both sides of the ball.
The Shafer Sharks are building momentum and looking to continue their success as the season moves forward. Good luck, Coach Aninsman, Coach Kashow , and the Sharks! 🦈🏈
