Veterans, your health matters! Join us for Lung Cancer Screening Day at Biloxi VAMC.

Available at the Lung Cancer Awareness event:
✅ Quick screenings to check eligibility for annual CT scans
✅ Meet with health professionals & get your questions answered

💡 Who should consider lung cancer screening? Veterans ages 50–80 with a history of smoking may benefit. Also, Veterans exposed to burn pits, smoke due to occupational hazards (we're looking at you firemen!!), and everyone exposed to second hand smoke during their life (Baby Boomers and Gen X - who remembers ashtrays in airplane armrests, smoking sections in restaurants, and smoky breakrooms and office spaces?!?). Not sure if you should get screened? Our team will discuss your eligibility on-site.

Turning 65? VA healthcare, Medicare and TRICARE For Life can work together. The right mix depends on your needs.

Your Medicare enrollment window runs from 3 months before to 3 months after the month you turn 65. Missing it can mean a lifelong penalty on your Part B premium.
Military retirees need both Medicare Part A and Part B to keep TRICARE.
Medicare covers you outside the VA system.
Still working? Check with your employer's benefits office before you delay Part B.
