🏃💨You can run, but you can't hide!!

The burglary suspect who gave our officers the runaround not once, but twice, is no longer running!

Shoutout to our partners to the south at the Prior Lake PD for the teamwork as they took our suspect into custody today.

We'll share more details once official charges have been submitted. Until then, let's just say this suspect's running streak has come to an end! 🚧🚔

We know so many of you have been on the lookout, notifying us of suspicious activity, and we are grateful for all your help. This is what law enforcement is all about: working together to keep our communities safe!

At BPD, we’re committed to building a culture of wellness and supporting the well-being of our team.

As part of our ongoing commitment to wellness one of our initiatives is healthy eating. With a goal of having healthy meals more accessible for our officers, we started working with Simple Plan Minneapolis .

And how cool is this?! We are grateful for anyone looking to help bolster the health of officers that are helping our community. 💙

🎀 🩷 The BPD has been busy attending Pink Patch events around town, including the annual Making Strides for Breast Cancer walk at the MOA, local high school football games, farmer's market, etc!

Although October is half over, we like to promote breast cancer awareness all year! Please consider purchasing one of our Pink Patch items - including new t-shirts this year. Proceeds will go to a local non-profit cancer organization, as well as the American Cancer Society.

🛑 Stop. Every time.

When a school bus has its red lights flashing, you must stop. A new Minnesota law that took effect this year makes that requirement clear — and it’s about protecting students as they get on and off the bus.

In the Bloomington school district alone, there have already been 215 violations this school year — and we’re only a few weeks in.

🚍 Flashing red lights = STOP.

Give students the time and space they need to get home safely.

Wait til the end!

We will find you. We will lock you up…. It’s not a matter of if…we are prepping the Bloomington PD inn and suites for your arrival.
