A recent traffic incident near Bremerton is a good reminder that Washington’s DUI laws apply differently to drivers under 21.

For drivers under 21, Washington’s alcohol limit is 0.02% BAC. That is significantly lower than the 0.08% limit that generally applies to drivers 21 and older.

The safest choice is simple: Regardless of age, don’t drink and drive.

According to the Washington State Liquor and Cannabis Board, the legal limit for individuals under the age of 21 is .02, unlike the common .08 for those above 21.

Kitsap Transit is scheduled to reduce fast-ferry service between Bremerton and Seattle beginning August 31, with seven daily round trips being eliminated.

For many Bremerton residents, the ferry is more than transportation. It’s part of the daily routine for work, school, appointments, and getting around the Puget Sound.

What does this have to do with Bremerton Municipal Court??

A lot of court business depends on people being able to get where they need to go. Whether you’re coming to court, meeting an attorney, or taking care of responsibilities, planning ahead matters.

If you have a court date coming up, know your schedule, plan your transportation, and give yourself extra time.

Your friends at Bremerton Municipal Court

Temporary state funding to boost service runs out Sept. 1.

It was a stressful day at the All Rise Conference in Nashville, Tennessee, when our public defender, Kim McKarin’s mobility cane unexpectedly broke. Not knowing what to do next, Michelle and Liz from All Rise immediately sprang into action. They located a replacement, arranged an Uber to get us there, and made sure we had the support we needed.

When we arrived, Alison with Blind Early Services of TN - (BEST) went above and beyond by generously gifting Kim a brand-new mobility cane. We are incredibly grateful for the kindness, compassion, and teamwork shown by everyone involved. Moments like these are a powerful reminder that a caring community can make all the difference. Thank you for turning a stressful situation into one we’ll never forget.
