Sometimes, having someone in your corner to help navigate a difficult situation can change everything.

In a neighboring county, a patient who had lost their job, health insurance, and access to their home after a hospital discharge was living out of their car and facing significant barriers to care. Through Olympic Connect, a trusted helper named Rosalyn helped them enroll in Medicaid, coordinate the care they needed, and access a prosthetic that ultimately made it possible to return home.

This is what meaningful navigation looks like: meeting people where they are, understanding the barriers they're facing, and walking alongside them to connect the dots.

**And this kind of support is available right here in Kitsap County!**

Through Olympic Connect, navigators from Peninsula Community Health Services (PCHS), YMCA, Lutheran Community Services, and Voices of Pacific Island Nations are available to work alongside our neighbors experiencing acute needs. Whether someone needs help accessing healthcare, navigating benefits, coordinating services, or finding a path forward through a difficult situation, they don't have to figure it all out alone.

At Bremerton Foodline, we're proud to be ambassadors for a resource that makes compassionate, coordinated support more accessible in our community. Sometimes, having a trusted helper in your corner is a lifeline.

Behind every number is a neighbor. Behind every visit is a household working to get through the week.

📊 Did you know? In 2025, Bremerton Foodline served 39,574 unduplicated individuals through 24,770 household visits. That's thousands of neighbors relying on our community's food safety net. And the need continues to grow post-government shutdowns and SNAP Freezes.

Today, we are serving 225+ families every day. Over 43,000 unique individuals - And we haven't even reached our busy season

That means groceries must keep moving through our doors. Fresh food must be replenished. Essential supplies must be available. And the resources that make this work possible must keep pace with the demand.

Bremerton Foodline has been serving our community since 1980. We are proud of how far we've come, but we cannot take the resources needed to sustain this work for granted.

A growing community need requires a growing community response.

WE’RE IN THE NEWS, AND OUR COMMUNITY NEEDS YOU!

A huge thank you to FOX 13 News Seattle and reporter Shirah Matsuzawa for shining a light on the growing food insecurity crisis in Bremerton and across Kitsap County.

Our shelves are running low, but the need keeps growing. 💔

The need for our services has increased by 55%, while food donations have increased by only 6%.

We are now serving 200–225 families every day we are open, and the gap between what our neighbors need and what we have available continues to grow.

As a pillar of our community, Bremerton Foodline serves families directly through our grocery-store-style food bank while also helping supply nearly 30 organizations throughout Kitsap and North Mason Counties. When our shelves are empty, the impact reaches far beyond our own doors.

And with the holidays approaching, we cannot afford to wait.
