Happy Feast Day to Pope St. John Paul II, the head of the Roman Catholic Church from 1978 to 2005! Today, we remember his teaching on the domestic church— the home and the family, where we first learn to love, serve, forgive, and encounter Jesus. Our homes offer daily opportunities to grow in holiness. Every small act of love and every quiet sacrifice can become an offering to God. As TMOTM’s Kevin McCall says, “The Blessed Mother probably did dishes quite a bit!”
❤️‍🔥Link in comments below to a quick reflection on everyday holiness and sainthood and how we can embody JP2’s theology in our own homes.

Happy Feast Day to St. Teresa of Avila, a 16th century Spanish Carmelite nun, mystic and writer who was declared the First Female Doctor of the Church. St. Teresa is the patron saint of headaches and headache sufferers, Spanish Catholic writers, and people in religious life, among other things! St. Teresa, pray for us!

Link to full video in story and bio. After a serious problem with his eyesight unexpectedly brought his fast-paced business life to a halt, Joe Sergio began learning something that would change far more than his circumstances: how to stop simply talking to God and start listening. In this conversation with Anne Trufant, Joe shares his testimony of healing, encountering the Holy Spirit, learning to discern God’s voice, overcoming fear, and discovering the freedom of taking one obedient step at a time. His story reminds us that making Jesus easy to see doesn’t require a big platform—sometimes it simply means listening to God and loving the person He puts in front of us.

Last weekend, more than 100 people gathered on the mountain to step away from the noise and remember what is most true: our identity is found in Christ.
We are not defined by fear, failure, comparison, or the voices that tell us we are not enough. We are beloved. We are chosen. We belong to Him.
What a gift to spend the day listening for the voice that stills, leads, reassures, encourages, comforts, and calls us more deeply into who God created us to be. 🏔️

Happy Birthday, Carolyn! 🎉💛
Today we’re celebrating Carolyn Hardin, one of the original founders and Board Members of The Mission on the Mountain—and someone who has been part of this mission from the very beginning and even came up with our tagline: Real People Sharing Real Jesus!!
Carolyn, we are so grateful for your faith, friendship, prayers, encouragement, and faithful YES to all that God has been building through The Mission on the Mountain. You have helped lay the foundation for this ministry, and your love for Jesus and for others continues to be such a gift to our Mission family.
On your birthday, we’d love to surround you with the same love and prayer you have so generously given to so many others.
Mission family, will you help us celebrate Carolyn today? 🎂
Leave her a birthday wish or, even better, a prayer or blessing for the year ahead in the comments 👇🏽
Carolyn, may this new year of your life be filled with the Lord’s presence, unexpected joy, abundant grace, and the deep assurance of just how loved you are.
Happy Birthday from all of us at The Mission on the Mountain! We love you, Carolyn! ❤️🙏🔥
