Ready or not! Icy road conditions on the docket!
Keep safe out there 🔥🚒🔥

Rain & Early-Season Snow Expected Friday into Early Saturday Morning
Another low pressure system will move into our area Friday, bringing windy conditions, rain, and in northern areas a brief wintry mix. Widespread rain totals up to ~0.5 inches are expected for most locations. Cold air on the backside of the system will allow for a transition to snow Friday night, primarily in northern zones. Temperatures Saturday will be in the 40s, with some northern areas capping out in the upper 30s. Any snow that does manage to accumulate in the higher elevations will quickly melt as temperatures "warm-up" during the day. High pressure will bring warmer conditions Sunday and into next week. If you’re heading into the mountains, especially above treeline, be prepared for rapidly changing and potentially hazardous conditions.

No one is surprised! Our regions driver operators and rural water supply officers are some of the best due to this guy! Congrats JR!

This week, Captain JR Wallace received the Official City of Lewiston, Maine, July Employee of the Month recognition!

Captain Wallace's dedication to the fire service, his commitment to the Lewiston community, and the support he provides to his fellow firefighters make him a valuable part of our department. We're proud to see his hard work and leadership recognized!

Congratulations, Captain Wallace, and thank you for all you do for the Lewiston Fire Department and our community!
