We hope you carved out some time for fun this Halloween, because downtown Bristol will be spooky and splattered with activities all day long! Here’s exactly how your day could look downtown!
First, for our early risers, is Pumpkin Palooza at the Downtown Center. Pumpkin Palooza will kick off at 8am until the pumpkins run out! Kids can pick their very own pumpkin and decorating kit for free!
Next, guide yourselves and your kiddos to Cumberland Square Park at 10:30 A.M. for the Halloween Costume Contest! There will be prizes for each age division’s winner, so put on your creepiest, silliest, or most creative attire!
The fun doesn’t stop at the park! Right across the street Birthplace of Country Music Museum will be hosting their annual Community Day with free admission for all ages! BCMM has 3 brand new exhibits, but they won’t be around forever. That makes today the perfect time to check them out! Along with the new exhibits you can join in some extra fun with Banjo Bingo and the Instrument Petting Zoo from 12-3. This will be an important stop in your Halloween journey, so don’t miss out!
Move just a little further down Moore Street and The Axe and Ale House is hosting “Halloween Headquarters,” an all day experience with candy, prizes, good food, and much much more! Partake in the usual axe throwing and arcade games along with a costume contest, trick or treat pit stop, and Halloween Arcade Challenge. No need to make plans, just show up for as long as you need!
And of course, Downtown Trick-or-Treat and our 4th Annual Halloween Parade return on Halloween day this year! Trick-or-Treat will be from 3-5, and our downtown merchants can’t wait to hand out candy and other treats to your trick or treaters!
The parade will follow right after, spanning roughly 0.5 miles and featuring businesses, groups, and families alike. This will leave plenty of time to take your kiddos elsewhere for more trick or treating fun right after! Or maybe you’ll find a babysitter and return to downtown for a date night. You choose!
