It's Weatherization Day!

In fiscal year 2025 we weatherized 49 homes in southeast Iowa.

We are one of three Community Action Agencies in Iowa that still have crew based Weatherization Programs. We have 10 employees that provide weatherization services through our agency and we work with local contractors for providing services beyond our staff's ability as funding allows.

Since it's inception in 1976, 50 YEARS AGO, the Weatherization Assistance Program has built a reputation as the nation's core program for delivering energy-efficiency services to low-income households. Over 7 million households have benefited from the program, experiencing gain in energy efficiency, financial stability, and health and safety. These efficiency improvements directly translate to lower utility bills for families, freeing up resources for other essential needs and contributing to the overall economic well-being of our communities.
