Marines and Sailors from 2d Medical Battalion's Alpha and H&S Companies complete seperate conditioning hikes in the month of October. Hiking is an important training event and tradition in all Marine units that builds endurance, resiliency and esprit de corps.

Five years ago, an Islamic terrorist carried out a su***de bombing at Abbey Gate in Kabul, Afghanistan.

Thirteen brave Americans paid the ultimate price for our country.

U.S. Navy Sailors with Bravo Company, 2nd Medical Battalion, 2nd Marine Logistics Group, conduct simulated surgical cases, triage and treatment of trauma patients during Certification Exercise 26.3. Our Sailors ability to set up Role 2 field hospitals in diverse operational environments can provide surgical care and shock trauma interventions close to the front lines. CERTEX serves as the primary readiness evaluation for surgical platoons within 2nd Medical Battalion, testing their ability to triage, treat, evacuate, and track patients while also assessing communications, logistics, and responses to simulated threats.

And a special huge shout out to our Motor-T and Utilities Marines whose tireless hard work and ingenuity in extreme temperatures made this exercise possible. Semper Fidelis. ❤️ 💪
