Remember, Election Day is November 3. Ballots must be received by 7 p.m. next Tuesday.

There are three funding-related initiatives on this year’s ballot:
--Ballot Issue 5C (RFSD Mill Levy Override): Would generate approximately $5 million annually from local property taxes, dedicated strictly to local teacher and staff pay for the Roaring Fork Schools. Learn more @ www.rfschools.com
--Amendment 87 (“Income Tax Fairness Act”): Would create a graduated state income tax, lowering rates on earnings below $500,000 and raising rates above, which would generate over $2 billion statewide annually. Learn more in the Colorado Blue Book (starting on page 33).
--Proposition NN: Would allow the state to retain revenue above the TABOR cap for PreK–12 education (and other things) without increasing tax rates. Learn more in the Colorado Blue Book (starting on page 41).

Roaring Fork Schools has a Mill Levy Override (MLO) measure on the November 2026 ballot. If voters approve the measure, it will provide up to $5.6 million in extra property tax money each year. This money will support:
- Pay for teachers and staff
- Finding and keeping good teachers and staff
- Student learning and help with learning gaps
