During our recent trip to Washington, D.C., we met directly with top EPA leadership and secured a reconsideration letter, opening the door to emissions testing relief for Bexar County residents.

Unfortunately, legal concerns raised by TCEQ and general bureaucracy have delayed that relief.

I will continue pressing TCEQ to resolve these hurdles as quickly as possible and bring the relief Bexar County residents need.

Working families and seniors shouldn’t have to pay for needless repair bills because of this ineffective regulation.

EPA heard our concerns and agreed.

TCEQ needs to follow their lead and act.

Check out this video we put together congratulating UTSA - The University of Texas at San Antonio on its new Volleyball and Basketball Training Center.

A game changer for our Roadrunners, this state-of-the-art facility will give our student-athletes the tools and resources to train, compete, and win.

Stay tuned for photos from the ribbon-cutting celebration.

Thank you to 1200 WOAI for having me on last week.

We discussed key issues impacting our county, including early voting, my thoughts on the FY 2026–2027 County Budget, and the unanimous Commissioners Court resolution I recently led to protect Brooke Army Medical Center’s (BAMC) critical mission.

As the nation’s only Level I trauma center dedicated to serving our military, BAMC plays a vital role in military readiness, lifesaving care, and training our military medical professionals.

Protecting BAMC’s mission and supporting the military community that means so much to Bexar County will remain a top priority of mine.

Thank you to Rabbi Block for inviting me to visit the Chabad Center for Jewish Life & Learning.

It was a great opportunity to learn more about the center, its programs, and the work being done to serve the Jewish community in Bexar County.

One of the highlights was getting an up-close look at a handwritten Torah scroll. Each of its more than 300,000 Hebrew letters is carefully written by hand, a process that can take a year or more to complete.

I appreciate Rabbi Block’s hospitality and the opportunity to learn more about the center and its traditions.
