The Deer Creek Elementary PTA is a group of parents and citizens dedicated to supporting our students at Deer Creek Elementary through fundraising, programs, volunteer work, and teacher support. Please join us at our next General PTA Meeting in the Deer Creek Cafeteria or MPR.

🎉 Happy Principal Appreciation Week, Ms. Brown! 🎉
There’s lots that makes Ms. Brown special, it’s the way she brings fun, laughter, and a little silliness to Deer Creek! Whether she’s joking around, joining in on the fun, or taking time to connect with students, she makes being part of the DCE family an adventure. Her energy, enthusiasm, and genuine engagement with our Colts make a difference every single day.
Thank you, Ms. Brown, for never being afraid to be a little silly, for making students feel seen and valued, and for creating a school community where kids love to learn and belong. We are lucky to have you leading our Colts! 💙💚

In honor of World Teachers' Day, we are hosting a special Multicultural Potluck Lunch on Tuesday, October 27th to treat our amazing DCE teachers and staff!

We invite our families to participate by bringing a dish that reflects your favorite culinary traditions—from the USA, Mexico, Italy, Nigeria, Israel, India, China, Brazil, or anywhere around the globe. Your delicious contributions will make this a truly special celebration of both our staff and our school's vibrant cultural diversity.

Here's how you can help:
Sign up to bring a dish, dining utensils or volunteer to cover lunch duty.
Note: dishes should feed 8-10 people.
Dishes can be homemade or store-bought
Please label with ingredients for allergy awareness
Drop off your dish in the front office morning of Tuesday, October 27th by 9am. Do not forget to label with your name.

We also need a few more lunch volunteers- 2 for 2nd grade, 1 for 3rd, and 1 for 4th. You can sign up in the link.

National Walk & Roll to School Day is TOMORROW, October 7th!

As our Colts walk, bike, and roll to school, let’s take a moment to review some important crosswalk and street safety tips with our students.

🛑 Stop and look both ways before crossing.
👀 Stay alert and watch for cars.
🚦 Use the crosswalk and follow crossing signals.
🦺 If a crossing guard is present, wait for their direction before crossing.
🚲 Bikes must be walked—not ridden—across crosswalks.

Let’s make sure everyone has a safe walk and roll day everyday💙💚
