What a way to wrap up Red Ribbon Week at CES! ❤️ Our Pirates came dressed and ready to “Scare Away Drugs” today, filling our hallways with creative costumes, big smiles, and plenty of excitement as each grade level enjoyed a costume parade! But beyond all the fun and dress-up days, this week was about something much bigger. We reminded our students that making healthy choices, standing up for what’s right, and looking out for one another can make a difference in their lives and the lives of those around them. A HUGE thank you to our amazing PTO for helping make our classroom fall parties so special, to our teachers and staff for making this week memorable, and to our families for joining in the fun all week long! We’re so lucky to be part of a community that comes together to support our little Pirates. That’s what makes CES such a special place to learn and grow! Wishing all our Pirate families a fun, safe, and wonderful fall weekend! 🏴‍☠️❤️

Tomorrow is our final day of Red Ribbon Week! Students are welcome to participate in our optional costume day as we “Scare Away Drugs!” Just a friendly reminder to review the costume guidelines shared through SchoolMessenger. Costumes should be school-appropriate, and inflatable costumes are not permitted. We’re looking forward to a fun final day of celebrating healthy choices with ALL of our Pirates! ❤️

❤️ Red Ribbon Week, Day 3! What an amazing sea of RED throughout CES today, both inside and out! Our Pirates wore red to show that we’re RED-y to make healthy choices, stand up for what’s right, and encourage others to do the same! Red Ribbon Week reminds us that even the smallest choices can make a big difference in keeping ourselves and others healthy and safe! ❤️

Our first graders in Mrs. Edmiston’s class brought their Franken characters to life! From Franken baseball players and scientists to Franken Spider-Man and everything in between, their creativity was endless! Students combined creative writing, character and setting, reading fluency, and technology to create their own characters and stories. Then, using the ChatterPix app, they recorded themselves reading their writing and made their illustrations TALK! Such a fun way to bring literacy and technology together with a little seasonal fun! 🎃

🏴‍☠️ Red Ribbon Week, Day 2! Our Pirates showed off their CES pride today by wearing their Pirate gear! At CES, we’re all on the same team, and that means looking out for one another, making healthy choices, and encouraging our friends to do the same. Red Ribbon Week reminds us that our choices don’t just affect ourselves. We can make a positive difference in the lives of those around us, too! ❤️

It’s Red Ribbon Week at CES! Red Ribbon Week is a time for schools across the country to encourage kids to make healthy choices and stay drug free. With our younger Pirates, we keep the focus simple and age appropriate by talking about healthy choices, taking care of ourselves, and making decisions that help us grow into our very best selves.

And we’re making it FUN! We have dress-up days all week, fall excitement on the way, the final week of the Book Fair, and plenty more happening around CES. Here’s your quick scroll-through of this week’s Pirate Post so you can catch the highlights without digging back through your inbox. 😊

🖨️ 5th Grade STEM: From Digital Design to 3D Print!

Our fifth-grade students recently completed their 3D printing projects in STEM! Students used creativity, problem-solving, and engineering skills to design their own pencil holder, cookie cutter, or die. They got to see how an idea can go from a digital design to a real, usable object!

Great job, fifth graders! ⚙️💡
